Wow! What an amazing tour! We took the half day tour because we were driving between Brittany and Paris but we all would have happily done a full day because the tour was fascinating. We drove around in sprinter vans with great ac which was much needed during the heatwave. Our guide was adorable and so knowledgeable - my children loved it! The cemetery was beautiful and I loved visiting Omaha beach.

The perfect 4-hour tour of Chenonceau with guide Flore!

We thoroughly enjoyed our private tour to Chenconceau Chateau with Flore! She met us at our hotel in Tours promptly (even arriving a bit early) to meet us with her van. An expert driver, she navigated the route to Chenconceau in a timely manner and we easily arrived prior to the large tour busses. We had a lovely leisurely visit, with an hour of free time to explore a bit on our own. The grounds are vast but she told us where we should focus our time and where to get the best photographs. She is an Art Historian and so knowledgeable about every minor detail about this beautiful chateau. Our tour included a visit to all the main rooms and we got to admire the artwork and original furniture while learning of the manor’s various owners, all of whom remodeled to suit their individual tastes. I particularly loved hearing how Catherine of Medici had her husband’s mistress removed from the chateau after his death, and how subsequent owners were all powerful women in their own right! As I walk with a cane after having back surgery, Flore made sure that I was comfortable on our tour and inquired if I needed to sit down and rest at any time (I did not!). She was happy to take photos of us when opportunities presented themselves. On the drive back to Tours, she took a different route so we could see some more scenery, and even stopped at the Tours Information Center to get some maps for us, before returning us to our hotel. We were so fortunate to have lovely weather and the perfect guide for this private tour, and we’ll remember our day with Flore and her kindness far into the future.

Bad Wine Tapir

Total waste of time and money. One winery visit was marginal and the other two were totally unacceptable. One of the greatest wine areas in the world and we visited the absolutely lowest level wineries in the area. Do not take this tour, if you know anything about wine you will be disappointed

Magali’s D-Day Tour from Bayeux was the best of the twelve professional tours we took while in Europe. Magali had a commanding knowledge of the events of D-Day, explained it with compassion and respect, and took us to some of the most moving yet simple sights that made D-Day and what happened come alive. I would highly recommend this tour and ask for Magali to be your guide. She is kind, funny, and her English is easy to understand.

Amazing tour of Historic day sites. Visiting Omaha beach and pont du hoc added so much dimension and depth. The American cemetery was stunningly beautiful. It was a nice opportunity to show respect. Our guide, Victor, was truly knowledgeable- full of facts and stories.
