Sonia at Ophorus was an amazing tour guide: delightful, knowledgeable, helpful and genuinely eager to make our day special. When one of the sites unexpectedly was closed after having confirmed our visit, she quickly pivoted to an even better option though it made the day longer for her. Our day visiting Carcassonne, Limoux, and a nearby Abby was a highlight of our trip to France and a day we won’t forget. We are very grateful to Sonia and highly recommend her and Ophorus.

We enjoyed a lovely day with Lea. She was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. One constructive comment is that we did not get enough time to walk in St Emillion. While we really enjoyed the stories she told us in the town it would have been better if those were told in the van so we could have experienced a more leisurely walk in the town in the timeframe we had. Other than that we enjoyed the tour.

We were a group of six plus the guide (Theo). Pick was on time, efficient, and Theo quickly broke the ice. Throughout the day he demonstrated a wealth of interesting facts about the area and the history of WW11 in Normandy, culminating with the D day offensive. We visited 5 separate locations and had plenty of time at each. Perhaps too much time and the tour could have been an hour shorter without losing impact. I certainly finished the tour with a renewed respect for those who helped to liberate France and change the direction of history. Coming from Jersey which was also occupied made this a special trip. Theo was an engaging host and made the day. Would recommend - just be aware it is a long day and do bring water, sunscreen etc as necessary.

Great uncrowded experience

A very relaxing day visiting 3 towns and 2 viewpoints. The pickup and drop were easy near train station, 30-40 minute drive to obernai, then short drives to obernai overlook, barr, mittelberhheim overlook, andlau. Charming towns, great views, leisurely pace with Lea. Away from the crowds, amazing ancient church in andlau. 6 of us on 8 person van, seems like max tour size is 8.

Valentin was a fantastic host. Knowledge, friendly and funny. Would highly suggest the tour of Omaha Beach and Pointe Du Hoc.

Orlane, our guide and driver, was very pleasant, well informed, and shared a wide range of information about the sites and the region. She was responsive to the questions and interests of the group and struck a good balance between providing guidance and having some quiet time during the drive. An ideal way for those traveling without a car to explore some of the charming villages in Bourgogne. The whole day was a lot of fun. Highly recommended!
