This is a really cute little wildlife sanctuary only a few minutes from Brisbane. As it's name suggests, there are koalas here, along with dingoes, Australian reptiles and amphibians, flying foxes, parrots, and platypuses to name a few. You can feed and pet kangaroos and wallabies as well. There are photo opportunities with koalas, dingoes, tree kangaroo, and birds of prey. It takes a couple hours to get around, and there is on-site food and drink for sale. And a couple of gift shops as well.

Absolutely loved our Meet a Koala experience! We got the chance to spend one hour with one of the lovely animal caretakers at the sanctuary, and she showed us around, explaining how they take care of their animals, and answering our dozens of questions, with a passion that shines through. We absolutely loved the 15 minutes we were able to spend with Tango the wonderful koala, who we could pet gently and take a lot of pictures with. The highlight of our 2 week trip in Australia!

Amazing and awe inspiring
This was the highlight of my trip! Never before have I seen koalas so close in their native habitat. There was a nursery with baby koalas that had only emerged from their mother’s pouches within the last week. There was an open area where we could interact with kangaroos and emu. There were also outstanding displays of other indigenous animals like Tasmanian devils, and a cassowary. This is basically a zoo of Australian animals. After seeing this place, we skipped the Taranga zoo in Sydney because we had already seen all of the local animals that we could not see at zoo at home.

Really loved the shows. The environment was beautiful and full of life. The kangaroos were beautiful up close and I love the free range areas!

We got to see Koalas and sooooo much more!! The walk is fairly easy, and a great introduction to all the animals Australia has to offer. There was many koala exhibits, some of them were only feet away from us. Walk out onto the kangaroo field and scratch some kangaroos behind the ears 🥰. We had a long road trip from Brisbane to Hervey Bay, and this helped break up the day.
