Tickets - We purchased tickets in advance from the visitor information centre at Queen's Street in Brisbane CBD and managed to get a 10% discount + a free silver koala pin each. Highly recommend doing so if already in the vicinity of the visitor information centre. Parking - Lots of free parking available on a weekday. Overall vibes - Loved how relaxed it felt stepping into the sanctuary. The animals all looked like they were living their best life, and all the staff members we met seemed to genuinely enjoy working there. It was great that the shows were available both in the morning and afternoon, so we could tour at our own pace instead of having to rush to catch them. The shows were fairly short (15 mins) but very informative. The keepers clearly prioritised the comfort of the animals and made slight adjustments to the show accordingly. We enjoyed buying some kangaroo feed then venturing into the open field to feed them! F&B - Food selection was good and expectedly pricey (since it is an attraction afterall!). We only got light bites and ended driving back to town for food after leaving mid afternoon. We were five adults and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. There were many families out and about and the kids looked like they were having fun. Ample stroller parking all around the sanctuary.

Visiting relatives wanted a classic Australian experience, so we spent a morning strolling through the koala areas and meeting a few other native species. The atmosphere felt relaxed, and the staff were friendly when the kids asked questions. We wandered slowly between the enclosures, taking plenty of breaks so everyone could watch the koalas dozing or moving around the trees. The kids loved spotting kangaroos and a few native birds along the way, and our relatives kept stopping for photos because everything felt so close and peaceful. With the mix of shade, open paths, and gentle pacing, it turned into one of the most memorable stops of their Brisbane trip.

Friendly staff, Absolutely loved the nature and the raptor show. You can see Koalas everywhere so unless you want to pat Koala or close up photos with Koala, Koala moment is not necessary.

If you love zoos and are visiting Brisbane, this is a MUST! Over 100 koalas call the sanctuary home and it was such a wonderful experience. The koala encounter was very reasonably priced (we even did it twice in a day!), and there are so many things happening throughout the day. The keeper talks were awesome, with staff staying to answer heaps of questions. Some friendly animals even came out for a visit and pats. Plenty of food options that caters to all diets, and reasonably priced as well! Just remember your hat and sunscreen, since it got super hot!

came here at 330 with my family, was told the sanctuary closes at 5 so we were taking our time walking around but found out most of the reserves close at 4-430 so couldn’t take photos with most of the animals which ws quite disappointing.

(Translated by Google) We are a family with two children, ages 2 and 5, and one visit is enough to fill us up. You don't need an annual pass, and if you're going to buy one here, it would be better to buy an annual pass for Dreamworld or Movie World. But the first time is fun. You can feed the kangaroos, etc.
