Me and my family visited this park 3 years ago.. I was thinking it's still worth writing a quick review. Overall, I have been to the park 4 to 5 times, and it's always been a fantastic getaway. While tickets arent cheap, there is such a variety of animals to see and experience that you can easily stay an entire day there.

Excellent day out amongst all the beautiful Australian animals. We did the behind the scenes tour of the sanctuary, the ‘dingo experience’, the ‘working sheep dog experience’ and got to feed the platypus.. the activities are a little in the expensive side but with the money going to such a good cause we didn’t care. Such a great Queensland animal zoo not too far from the city center. Lots of koalas, reptiles, kangaroos, birds and platypus is a huge bonus to see in real life seeing as they are so hard to spot in the wild. Love that there are many encounter programs and school holiday programs for the animal lovers young and old. Well planned out space with the peaceful river as the backdrop. Highly recommend especially if you do not have the opportunity to drive to the big Australia zoo 1.5hrs away.

Our first adventure in...

Our first adventure in Australia started at Lone Pine! We loved it. The Kangaroos and Koalas were a huge highlight but the entire park was enjoyable and a must see.

Took our friend that was visiting from the States. We all absolutely loved it. The animals are very well cared for and loved. Behind the scenes tour guides were fantastic, professional and obviously love their jobs! Food is reasonably priced although you are able to take in your own. We will definitely return.

Visited this amazing place on Dec 2nd 2025 whilst on holiday from England and had a fantastic day. Did the koala experience, loved feeding the lorikeets and kangaroos and an amazing place to visit. Great variety of animals in a lovely setting and absolutely loved it. 10/10

Great Experience!

Our group of 8 adults thoroughly enjoyed the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary! We were able to feed the Kangaroos as well as see many animals native to Australia! It was well worth out time and we felt like it was a good value!
