It was fun. They have a lot of animals and the exhibits are nice. My favorite exhibit is the Galapegos. It would be nice if they had a few more family stalls. I have a 15 yr specials needs daughter who I have to change and there is nowhere to do that. I usually have to change her in the car.

Overall great visit with the kids. Though Packing was an issue, the kids had a great time viewing the animals.

Been to a lot of zoos. Live in Florida. If you want to get your steps in, then this is the place. Was over 8,000. Lots to see. Elephants were awsome. Tigers are huge. Took a picture of a python under the water, with reflection from the surface. Cool place.

Been a few years since we last visited but we've taken each of our children to the Houston Zoo on their 1st birthday. My son just turned 1 and had a great time. We are always impressed with this zoo, easily walkable, clean, and all the volunteers are always so friendly and knowledgeable. Despite the heat and humidity the animals were active and happy. The young giraffe was a delight, he was galloping around the paddock and having a good ole time. We went early on a Friday and there was no line wait and very light crowds (mostly just other families trying to avoid the weekend rush). 10/10
