We visited because the reviews were great. We spent almost 4 hours there trying to find the animals in the exhibits. Most of the attractions were empty. Waste of time and money

We had a fantastic time at the Houston Zoo! The variety of animals is truly impressive — from majestic elephants and playful sea lions to colorful birds and exotic reptiles, there’s something exciting to see in every section. The enclosures are well-maintained, and there are plenty of signs and interactive displays that make the visit both fun and educational. Be prepared for a lot of walking, as the zoo is quite large — it’s a great way to get your steps in while enjoying beautiful views and learning about wildlife from all over the world. I highly recommend visiting outside of the peak summer months if possible, since the Texas heat can make the experience more tiring. We went on a mild day, and it was much more comfortable to take our time and enjoy everything. Overall, the Houston Zoo is a wonderful destination for families, couples, or anyone who loves animals and wants an engaging, informative day out.

We have been at the zoo for the 3rd time. It’s a pretty good zoo with many animals and great experiences for the kids. My kids liked the carousel pretty much. This time it was really expensive because of that special dinosaur-part. I wouldn’t need this part for me and my kids and would have appreciate if we could have buy normal tickets. But this wasn’t possible in the website. Nevertheless it’s always a great experience!
