Very nice zoo! The animals are actually mostly awake and making sounds and running around. I like the little ports for the children to peak in with the fish in the aquarium. Now in July 2025 this zoo has grown so much and the animals are still impressive in their awareness and personalities on display. The food at the circle cafe was delicious especially my beef Reuben I wish I could go get that as a take out order because it was yummy.

2019 January zoo lights from Groupon !! Balling on a Budget !!! I got to see some big ole rhinos and great light themes. Can wait to have some kiddos to bring them here!!!

It's good, lights are nice, got fun music, the party was cool. Little hard to navigate, but otherwise good. Parking is hell though.

Tried to get in the trading Post at 11:03. Am and got told to leave in a very rude fashion. Can not believe how I was treated . And my family especially. When it cost so much. To get in.

I always enjoy visiting the zoo! There is construction at times because they are improving some areas, but it pays off when you see the new section. There's plenty of carts for food, souvenirs, and there are fun things for the kids to do. The only thing that needs to get fixed is the parking situation--too many people, but not enough parking spaces. Other than that, plan well and you will definitely have a wonderful time!

Love the zoo! Have been going to the Houston zoo since the late 70s. It's always a fun experience and this year we have the membership so we are going to try to go 24 times. Maybe more. We shall see! Hope to see ya there!

The Houston zoo is a great place for kids and most animals have stimulating enclosures. The price is a touch high, but if you get a membership it pays for itself in two visits. You must go early to find parking.
