I had read on other reviews that you should prepare to spend at least 3 to 4 hours here. I was very skeptical at first, but found myself visiting for 4-5 hours!! Plenty of areas to sit down and relax as well, with quite a few options for snacks and drinks available. Coming from New Zealand, it was VERY warm out. There were a few enclosures (especially the reptile enclosure) that were nice and cool. Make sure that you book your tickets online as they weren’t doing gate sales at the time. There’s also a good amount of parking nearby, and once you’ve visited the zoo, you can take a relaxing walk around Hermann Park
