Let me start by saying that I loved how spacious it was for the flow. Now I love seeing animals but more importantly I love seeing happy animals. Any pet owner who loves their pet know when their pet is happy. Now granted people who work in zoos don't necessarily have a love for animals, it's just a paycheck. Every animal dwelling we visited left something to be desired. It was around 2ish and every animal was waiting at door or pacing back and forth waiting to be fed. One of the ocelets stood staring at the door. I can't remember the type of cat next door to it but the poor buddy was pacing so long it wore the ground down. Mind you these are animals that would otherwise hunt for their food and now are waiting for someone to feed them on a schedule. It was sad. I kept saying hang on buddy, they are late but they are coming. When we left an hour later they still had not been fed. The sea lions, the elephants, well let's say every animal we see was waiting to be fed and there was a field trip scheduled for that morning and from the behavior of the animals they hadn't been fed that morning and it's nearly evening. It was a sad sight.

It should allow to exchange your ticket for another date when you have a change of plans. So disappointed...

Don’t evert throw a party with them. They make you use them for catering and drinks. Terrible food and they don’t hire real bartenders. Run! It’s not worth it!

We moved away from Houston about three years ago, and during this visit to see family, we took our child to the Houston Zoo again. It was truly unforgettable! Compared to three years ago, there have been many improvements, so much so that we couldn’t finish exploring it all in one afternoon. We went back the next day, allowing our child to fully experience the charm of the zoo. Highly recommended!
