(Translated by Google) A lovely place to take the kids to see the animals, and we had a very enjoyable family day. Only the parking was very difficult to find, as it was full, and we had to look for another spot. You can bring your own cooler with Coca-Cola and water.

I haven't been to the zoo in a while so going just recently I noticed a lot of changes. The exhibits are nice but for almost 50 dollar entry fee I feel like things could be a little better. A lot of the "meet the trainers" event happen at the same time so you cabt really see multiples within a visit. Not sure if there were supposed to be shows with like tricks by the animals but I didn't see any. There were a few informative presentations on some of the animals which was cool. I will always say the food is over priced because for 18 dollars you get 2 chicken straps and a handful of fries. Outside of the straps and burgers the other food seems like hospital food. The kids loved it I went with my daughters kindergarten class.

Went to the Space Center on the Citypass. My kids have a blast. Would highly recommend it for children over the age of 6. Younger ones won't enjoy it too much.

The Houston Zoo was a fun visit, albeit small enough to get through in a single afternoon. Although smaller than the Fort Worth and Dallas zoos that we are used to, you can spend the entire day if you want to visit while reading all of the detailed information on each of the animals. Our family especially enjoyed how close we were able to get to elephants. Having the placards with details on each member of the elephant family was a really nice touch. The kids used it to identify each elephant by name! The big cats were surprisingly easy to spot and observe fairly closely. The tunnel with a view into the Lion's den was actually really cool... It feels like you were in the den with them. All in all, well worth the visit, especially on a day when it was not crowded and the weather was nice!

When we arrived we had to buy tickets online instead of at the window. After 4 times of getting error message we finally got tickets. Once inside we obtained a map but even with the map in hand and the "road signs" on the zoo walkways the exhibits are kind of confusing to navigate. We ended up in the same area of the gorillas 3 times looking for the tigers and lions. It does have a couple of play areas for the kids. The prices at the souvenir stores are not terribly bad.

There are almost no animals out and the ones that were, were all up against the doors waiting to get in. They looked hungry thirsty and miserable. Enclosures were dirty and did not look appropriate for the animals except the chimpanzees. And they moved around like they were drugged. They barely moved, the gorillas look dead. If it hadn't been for the Jurassic Giant Park I would have probably asked for my money back but my kids really like that part. 6.50 for a Coke and you can't get bags for your stuff you have to buy bags, at $5 a pop. It's ridiculous like the tickets don't cost enough already. Big disappointment from what I remember the zoo to be like when I was young. Will not do it again and I will not recommend it to anyone else. A total waste of money. $150 to get in and another $100 just to get two necklaces and a Coke. Wow, talk about a money scam. And you have to buy tickets in advance online because they don't sell tickets at the gate. Kind of weird.
