Great place to bring the family. Just lots of construction going on right now. The extra exhibits (dino walk) cost money to enter. The gift shop could be better, my kid got a magnet but the magnet part literally fell off when we got to the car.

Great place to visit in Houston. The Red Pandas are my favorite. The new Birds of the world exhibit is great. Recommend making sure you have sunscreen packed. Really appreciate you can bring food in, but also the food in the zoo is pretty reasonable.

I LOVE the Galapagos section that they added. The whole family had such a fun time & the weather was perfect. My daughter and I enjoyed the Jurassic Giants as well, super cute.

We had a great time at the Houston Zoo! I highly recommend buying your tickets in advance to skip the lines. As soon as you enter, head to the right if you need to rent a stroller or wheelchair—very convenient. Also, don’t miss The Twiga Cafe! The food is delicious and the staff there are incredibly kind and polite. A fantastic visit overall!
