Whale watching and wild life

We went to see Orcas . It was a great experience. Easy check in and the naturalist did a great job . We even had a Orca go under our boat. A pleasant surprise that we also received pictures from our expedition.

I wish there had been more information about the ferry. We were not given a choice of seat when booking but found out had we booked directly with the ferry company, we could have chosen our seats in various classes such as premier and comfort. We were in economy class by booking through this website (third party) and the seats were narrow and uncomfortable. All seats are inside. The five hour time in Victoria could have been shorter.

I have taken the ferry many times. It's always a lovely Experience! They have a variety of Snacks, treats, and drinks. Crew very thoughtful to get us back before the major part of the storm hit. It was relaxing ly rocky on the way back due to weather. Such a lovely way to leave and arrive. Vacation starts as soon as you step on.

Esential in Seattle!

The naturalist and the creo, fantastic! We boarded and before one hour, we saw Keller whales and later, humpback.

Disappointed whale watch

Not impressed. Was suppose to start at 9:00am and they changed it without notice to 12:00. Saw a lot of spouts but only a couple tails.

They don’t tell you this but there’s a Southwest Airlines kinda departure with loading zones and priority. If you’re not in an early zone, it’s standing room only or an interior chair with no view. Also, everyone brings ALOT of stuff with them. Bring multiple bags, backpacks, strollers, etc. You’ll need those to ‘save’ a seat if you get one. Once you leave it, it’s gone if you didn’t bring a pile of stuff to save it. I didn’t bring anything to save a seat. I never got a seat. I tried sitting in an empty seat, that was somehow saved too. Ed Oh, we saw no whales, just whale breath. They said it was a gray whale. That’s all nothing else. Oh wait, it was super expensive.

We took the whale watching cruise today. We loved it. They do a great job of taking you to where to see the whales, explain what to look for and provide some background material. You also get a copy of the photos they took. We plan on taking this trip again in the future.

It's a nice ride. But the deboarding process is painfully slow and silly. Park it and open the doors. It's simple. The big Seattle ferries deboard in a fraction of the time.
