I was guided on a day trip to the desert from Cairo. Picked up at the airport early at 6am, and although it was a long long way to the Black and White Deserts, I enjoyed the music, local food,and activities along the way. The desert tour was the main focus of my trip to Egypt, so I'm very pleased! This tour also provided peace of mind regarding drinking water and hygiene, concerns for Japanese woman's single trip. We were lucky to have Mohammed as our guide and Ahmed as our driver — both were professional, friendly, and made the experience unforgettable. We visited Saqqara, Memphis, and Dahshur, and Mohammed’s knowledge of Egyptian history brought each site to life. He explained the evolution of pyramid construction in a way that made it easy to understand and fascinating to follow — from the Step Pyramid of Djoser at Saqqara to the Bent and Red Pyramids at Dahshur. Ahmed ensured the drive between sites was smooth and comfortable, and we always felt safe and well looked after. The air-conditioned vehicle was clean and stocked with cold water, which was a huge plus in the desert heat. The pace of the tour was perfect — enough time to explore, take photos, and enjoy the sites without feeling rushed. Mohammed also knew all the best spots for photos and helped us capture some amazing shots. Overall, I highly recommend Emo Tours, especially with Mohammed and Ahmed as your team. We took the day tour to Alexandria from Cairo which was arranged by Emo Tours through Get Your Guide. Pickup from hotel was at 7 am, but due to heavy fog, roads were closed for 2 hours but our driver Mohammed Bakar judging the situation quickly got us into a gas station with a cafe where we could rest and use the washrooms. We reached Alexandria at 12 pm, 2 hours behind our schedule. We were greeted by our tour guide Naglaa Abass, she gave us very good information about Alexandria and showed us the Citadel of Qaitbay, Library, Roman theatre and catacombs. She also took us to very good restaurant for lunch which was included in the package and suggested we have the fish there and I must say her recommendation was awesome. We finally bid farewell to her and left Alexandria at 4.30 pm for a 3 hour drive back to Cairo. Thank you Mohammed & Naglaa for the awesome time we had at Alexandria. Highly recommend Mohammed Bakar for all your tours in Cairo.

Salma we spent a full day touring Alexandria. The driver essam and timely, pleasant and made the from Cairo interesting. Most importantly Salma was a real treasure, not only is Salma extremely knowledgeable but she has a real passion for history and made the day fun. Our driver was there waiting for us at each turn. Sayed made entry into all the places we visited smooth and stress free, and his knowledge of them was fascinating. He made sure we saw the most interesting ancient sites, away from the crowds and Abdullah’s driving made getting around so easy. As two history buffs we appreciated it enormously and they both made it a great day.
