We booked the Cairo Short Layover Tour to see the Giza Pyramids and the traditional bazaar, and paid for a licensed guide for the full duration of the tour. Unfortunately, the experience did not go as described. While our guide was knowledgeable at the pyramids, the rest of the itinerary was disappointing. Instead of taking us to the bazaar as advertised, he brought us to a perfume shop, telling us it was part of “the real Egypt.” We ended up spending over an hour there and felt pressured to buy overpriced perfume. We had so many questions, especially after a few days in Luxor, and Mohamed was able to answer them all.
