It was an excellent lunch, and after a good coffee, we concluded the tour with a visit to the Temple of Karnak, with a final stop at a very interesting spice shop. A heartfelt thank you to Mohammed and our guides; it was a fantastic tour and excellent food. The only flaw was the guide who accompanied us on our second day to Luxor. He was extremely superficial and hasty; we knew what we saw inside the tombs and temples in the Valley of the Kings thanks to colleagues who had accompanied him the day before. Unfortunately, we don't remember his name, but it's definitely not recommended. Regarding the organization, the agency was completely unprofessional and inattentive—really awful. We were supposed to stay one night in Aswan and then move to Luxor the next morning, convinced we were supposed to stay at a specific hotel (the website we booked on specified the name of the hotel). Driver was great and was there on time. My tour guide was Samir Gaber and he gave me a good review of what to expect at Abu Simbel, since tour guides are not allowed inside. Chose to leave at 7AM, which was the best option, since we got to Abu Simbel as the bus tours were leaving. This allowed me to go through Abu Simbel almost vacant of other people. Was less than a 3.5 hour drive one way, which went by quickly. They do stop at a restroom on the way at Sarab Cafe, if you need it. Spent about an hour to see everything, got lunch and ate it in a comfortable, air-conditioned car. Took about another 3.5 to get back. Thought it was worth the trip.
