Vatican Tour- Entertaining and Informative.

Tour
Booked to be in a group of 20 but only 6 on the tour so very intimate tour. The headsets provided were very clear so even if in bigger group there would be no issues hearing the guide. Check in people very helpful and phoned to make sure we were close by. Rosa our guide was so knowledgeable, interesting and good humoured. Gave so many tips on where to visit in the museum outside of the planned tour. If only we had more time. We were departing Rome later so without this service we would not have seen the amazing art collection of the Vatican Museum and the spectacular Sistine Chapel . The queues outside were massive so delighted to have skipped them!

This was a wonderful tour! Enza Broccoli was an excellent guide! She was extremely knowledgeable and provided lots of interesting information. She was also able to answer any questions we had. It was obvious she wanted us to have the best experience possible.

Fantastic guide!
This was worth every penny! Laura, our guide was an art historian and knew all kinds of fascinating information about the Vatican museums. These museums are impossible to take in all in one day, so having a guide was essential. Even my teen daughter, who generally finds museums tire her quickly, enjoyed all 2.5 hours with Laura’s expert guidance. Great tour!

A delicious slice of historical lasagne
San Clemente, a C12th basilica built on top of the original C4th church and ancient Mithraeum, is one of my favourite spots in Rome. I've visited it before, but wished to take a tour to gain a more in-depth understanding of this building's fascinating and multilayered history. Marina from EcoArt did not disappoint. She was very knowledgeable and answered my many questions thoughtfully. Thanks for a great trip through time!

THE way to the Sistene chapel
very good communication from viator and local partner ecoart travel, well designated area to meet to collect tickets with a positive and well caring guide taking the effort to guide the small group booked to the venue ; skipping normal line to the main entry of VTC museum, which is a unbelievable rich and huge museum (7km distance overall is absurt:) so take your time ...Only minor point it was a shame we could not book tour with their guide...eg only for guidance of a few top features along the road & in the Sistene chapel (which is a real global historical landmark wonder)

Excellent tour
Martina was an excellent guide and we learned a lot in the Vatican museums. It must be said that the first entrance at 8 am is the way to go - I've never seen the Vatican museums so empty in March before! We were able to wander at our leisure in our small group. There were 8 of us in our group so it was the perfect size. Martina was very knowledgeable and shared details about the most interesting artifacts. We could've spent more time in the museum! The only snag was that we had selected this specific tour because it included a shortcut into St. Peter's Basilica. Two days before our tour we were notified that as of March 1 2025 the Vatican was no longer allowing people to use this shortcut. It seems like Eco Art Tours knew about this change but didn't advise us until March 11, when it was way too late to book a timed entrance into the Basilica by ourselves. So we had to walk around the walls and wait in line to get into the basilica ourselves. It all worked out as the line was moving very quickly, but I would've appreciated knowing this sooner so we could've made other arrangements. There were far less expensive tours we could've chosen instead of this one.

We enjoyed our Vatican Museum tour with Monica. She was so knowledgeable about the history and the artworks, and had a great command of English. Skip-the-line was definitely the best way to visit, the queues for normal entry looked awfully long.
