Amazing tour!!
I am a travel agent who has traveled the world. It is not often you find a tour guide that seamlessly can move between history, current events, culture and entertaining stories - all while helping you understand the food and rationale behind each selection. Emilllio is entertaining and informative. The food is excellent. I felt quite comfortable as a vegetarian on this tour. We met principals at the various (6) stops who had a rapport with Emillio. The wine was also very good!

Great food introduction to Lisbon. Our guide, Carlos, was wonderful. His knowledge of the history of Lisbon and Portugal was enlightening. The food selections and authentic sites made the tour very enjoyable.

A Wonderful Tour made Great by a Superb Guide
The tour included visiting several small eateries that most tourists might miss in the back streets of Lisbon. Starting with pork sandwiches (Bifana) and Chorizo prepared in a traditional manner washed down with cold beer, moving on to sample Samosas inspired by Mozambique (with a wickedly hot sauce and vinho verde) then to a three course lunch including cheese, octopus salad and Bacalhau a bras (cod) with red wine. After these three restaurants we stopped to sample a sparkling wine and then finished up a a bakery to enjoy a traditional custard tart dusted with cinnamon. There was a fair amount of walking between the eateries (much of it going up the hill towards the Fort of St. George) but we took a relaxed pace. So why was this tour rated so highly? Aside from the wonderful food what made it great rather than just very good was our guide Kriszti. She made us all feel so welcome to Lisbon, shared a wealth of information not only about the food but also about neighborhood life and traditions in the city and more broadly in Portugal.

Tapas Tour
Lorea is the perfect guide —- knowledgeable, enthusiastic and fun! We had wonderful food at the three restaurants we visited. Learning about the dishes and the history of the surrounding neighborhood added to the enjoyment.

A Great Way To Spend An Afternoon
