This experience is a must to do. Fun and interesting. Learn about Florence, the wine windows, cheese and wine. The food tasting is amazing. The olive oil tasting is great and the cheese shop is a wow!! A must. You will not be disappointed.

Great guide a couple of the courses a bit disappointing.
Enjoyable tour but the pork bun and samosas were disappointing. Guide was great it was a fun evening. Probably needed another Portuguese dish in the tour.

Fantastic experience with Lorenzo.
We had a wonderful time with our guide Lorenzo, he shared some interesting history and facts about the area, we sampled many great wines and foods that represented the historical Tuscan tastes. He kept things light and interesting, the choice of businesses to bring us to were excellent. Would highly recommend.

Our group of eight really enjoyed the variety of the places we visited as well as the range of foods and beverages they served. Combined with just enough walking to see the neighborhood, it was a very pleasant evening.

The Best Intro to Florence's Food & Drink!
This tour was the first one we did on our arrival in Florence, one I'd taken before and loved, and wanted my husband to enjoy as it was his first time in the city. It is a lovely introduction to Florence, as you walk with your guide (an easy, fairly slow-paced stroll) to several local eating / drinking establishments and get to try a multitude of local treasures on the Oltrarno side of the Arno. This is the side that is more "neighborhoods" than high-fashion boutiques, and my favorite area. Being on this tour, you get to "skip the line" at the one wine window which is the first stop on the tour, and that alone is worth the cost of the tour, as it can be very crowded and depending on the time of year, the line can wrap down the street! This wine window was featured in a Stanley Tucci video, so EVERYONE comes to it!! Also on this tour, is a sit-down demonstration of the making of gnudi (ravioli without the pasta envelope!) with a glass of wine, and it is delicate and scrumptious if you've never had it. If you have, you will crave it!! (Not that hard to make, if you want to try it once you're home :), though I think hers is always better. We stopped at a bar where the Negroni was discussed and the young bartender made a procession of Negronis for all of us (the classic with gin or with prosecco, your choice) and explained their history. They were invented in Florence! My favorite stop was to the cheese shop of Sandro (the "Cheese King" with a crown he wears to prove it!) and his wife Ivana, where you can sample and purchase cheese to safely take home vacuum packed in your suitcase to your friends and family back in the U.S. They are a lively and sweet couple, and can tell you anything you want to know about cheese, though mostly in Italian - they are not fluent in English, but our lovely guide - Tina - who it is obvious adores the couple was on hand to translate seamlessly. As last time, I bought some delicious cheese to travel home with. It keeps 30 days in the vacuum sealed wrapper they place it in, then in your fridge rewrapped in plastic wrap or double Ziplocks for 2-3 months. I've even kept mine longer, and it stays unbelievably fresh and delicious! Their truffle pecorino is not to be passed by!! Lastly, the tour takes you to their favorite gelato shop just off Piazza Santo Spirito, where lines can be long because the gelato is so good, but - as with all the other locations - you skip the line and go right to the front. Given the choice of two flavors and the choice of a cone or cup, when it's your turn at the front, be quick! Know what you want, and shout out your choices and your order will come immediately and then step out of the way for those behind you. The flavors are different each day, I'm told. The tour meets (just before dusk) and ends (when dark) in lovely Piazza Santo Spirito. Tina was just a fabulous and very informative guide, and we stayed after all left to chat about her background, how she came to live in Florence, etc. Just incredibly sweet, and she recommend we stop up to Loggia (the rooftop bar in the piazza) for a drink before heading back to our Airbnb, which we did. I'd been to Loggia before, it's directly across the square from Osteria Santo Spirito, through an ancient doorway and then up in an elevator. Reservations best, but even without them you often get lucky and they'll take you, but your table just won't be next to the edge of the balcony with views of the piazza - still lovely and every seating comes with a tray of appertivo, olives, crunchy snacks, and the Negronis are fantastic IMO!! My husband likes Spritzes / gin n tonics, which he also rates as great. HIGHLY recommend this tour as a soft and lovely introduction to Florence shortly after you arrive. Food, and sharing, strolling and meeting with the other participants from all over, is very fun, and the guide warm and so helpful. Enjoy!!

Great way to start your Prague adventure.
Oliver showed up with a great attitude and energy, and full of knowledge. He was engaging the whole time and showed us both food/drinks of Czechia/Prague but also all of the historical places that he took us through. Best experience ever! Come hungry! You won’t need dinner.
