East End Food and Culture Tour
Excellent tour. Max was great. He not only gave a great tour of food in East End but lots of history of the area and the changes in the culture over time. Highly recommend and ask for Max!

Great food and wonderful history!
Carlos was a terrific guide and host. He told us about the why when and where of the foods we ate. All great and very interesting. Come hungry!!! This is a 5 star tour. Some uphill and stair climbing, so be ready.

Palatable to exceptional
A very enjoyable experience led perfectly by Melissa, who showed interest in every guest. She was very amenable and informative on the area, cuisine and wine. The food and drink, for my tastes, ranged from palatable to exceptional.

Betsy was warm and friendly, a great connector. She was knowledgeable about the area and picked delicious stops for pastries, wines & cheeses. The German meal was a nice surprise in a lovely restaurant. We would highly recommend Betsy and Eating Paris to our friends.

Best Food Tour Experience, Ever I’ve been on over 20 food tours across Europe and beyond, and I can confidently say nothing compares to tonight in Lisbon with Fred from Eating Europe. Fred didn’t just guide a tour, he commanded the evening. He somehow managed to keep 12 loud, curious Americans engaged, laughing, learning, eating, drinking, and moving through Lisbon like locals. Without question one of the best experiences you will have in Lisbon
If, as we were, you are somewhat skeptical that this program is rated five out of five stars with 99% of respondents saying they would recommend it, then cast your doubts aside. It truly is THE real deal, without question one of the best experiences you will have in Lisbon. We were fortunate to have a very small, intimate group when we did it, but with a maximum of 12 on any tour you should be fine no matter what. It is 3+ hours of getting to sample and enjoy some key components of Portuguese cuisine but, more than that, being taken to places and restaurants no tourist guide will tell you about and learning the history and background of the cuisine. Our guide, Melissa, was an extremely knowledgable and personable ambassador for her country. Whilst she had a company-issued template for the tour with maps and all sorts of information, she mostly spoke from her own experience, and was very comfortable engaging with us, answering our questions, laughing at our bad jokes, and tactfully commending our often lame attempts to speak Portuguese. Yes, it was great to try the varied assortment of dishes, but it was she who made the tour really 5 stars. So, though it may be on the expensive side, we would say it’s definitely worth it, and join the 99% in highly recommending you include it as part of your visit to Lisbon. PS Afterwards, you get a list of not only the places visited on the tour, but also of dozens of other food and drink recommendations. You may want to take the tour early in your stay in order to be able to make best use of all this wonderful insider info.

Professionally organized and so much fun. We lucked out with our guide and our group - everyone was fun. Don’t bother eating breakfast before you depart. Excellent food and wine tour
Antonella our guide on this tour was amazing. We started our early evening tour in Oltando and managed to eat and drink our way around that area for over 3 hours. We tried lots of different food and drinks which were all excellent. We especially liked the cheese tasting with the King of Cheese, having a drink at a wine window (didn't have to wait) and also the negronis.

Absolutely worth it
We came with 2 couples and a friend and our tour guide Petra made the tour feel welcoming and fun from the start! A great time walking the city learning history, as well as phenomenal food and beers! Could NOT recommend this highly enough
