Great experience renting ebikes and cruising around Golden Gate Park and the Great Highway all day. It was our first time on ebikes, and they were a blast to ride. Jay and Sean were very friendly and helpful! Location of the shop is perfect for getting right into the park. Overall, a perfect day in San Francisco.

This e-bike tour was a wonderful introduction to San Francisco: full of interesting stories and tidbits about the city and its landmarks thanks to our wonderful guide, Eli - lots of fun, zero effort going up those hills, and he even gave us a typed list of all his suggestions! Although I’m a competent e-bike rider, I was hesitant to ride in a busy city. Thankfully the route was scenic and safe. Our guide Eli was knowledgeable about SF history as well as current culture. We had a fantastic experience at Dandyhorse SF Bike Tours & Rental! We initially tried a bike rental stand in the park, but the two people working there were quite rude, so we decided to look elsewhere. We're so glad we found Dandyhorse, the vibe was instantly 10 times better! Jay and Sean were incredibly friendly and helpful. They hooked us up with two electric bikes and a GPS guide. We cycled to Sausalito, and the route they suggested was absolutely perfect. After we dropped the bikes off Jay also helped us out with some food recommendations! Highly recommend this shop for a great bike rental experience!

Run, don't walk to DandyHorse. Plan to spend a terrific time in the saddle without the usual soreness that comes with a live equine. We took the SF city tour with John who was splendid beyond belief. We were very uncertain about riding on busy streets and he took all angst away. Somehow, he could face forward and backward at the same time, and predict oncoming pedestrians, speed bumps, or changes in terrain. We grew up in the Bay Area and lived in different San Francisco districts years ago, so had a decent understanding of the city. That said, it’s a completely different perspective on a bike. Like Zen and the Art of Motorcycle maintenance, we were IN the picture, not just looking at it. Hills that would be deemed inaccessible were a breeze with John’s coaching on which gear to use and the very sturdy, well-maintained bikes. He filled in background points about things we’ve seen previously in our travels, but didn’t know the details. This made the trip, enriching, relaxing, and enjoyable. Of course you COULD try to do this by yourself, but without John in the background to switch the bikes around to different directions on the narrow Golden Gate Bridge walkway, navigate clueless tourists who stepped into the bike path, know exactly where all the restrooms were located allowed us to just be in the moment and look around without concern of logistics or details. The bikes are heavy, but he was always there to give us a jumpstart if needed, take care of parking them so we could enjoy tasty treats in a local bakery and point out intricacies we would otherwise have walked or driven past without notice. Attention to detail, a bevy of useful information made a memorable experience that we definitely want to repeat. The Lone Ranger would be proud: “Hi Ho Silver” to the DandyHorse crew.

Jay was great!! The e-bikes are perfect for getting around SF, you will not struggle with any incline and be glad you paid that little bit more. We did a whole day rental and saw the painted ladies, golden gate park, ocean beach, lands end, baker beach, across the Golden Gate Bridge, stopped in Sausalito for lunch, 415pm ferry back to Fisherman’s Wharf and drop off back to the store for 530. Amazing way to see SF - highly recommend!

We had the best morning out on our electric bike tour. We saw the best parts of San Francisco and had headsets for very interesting and informative audio. Eli was a great tour guide who allowed us heaps of time at each stop.

The absolute best way to see SF. No struggle for parking, just hop on and hop off to explore the coast and find food places at will. We took on hills we otherwise wouldn’t have, wheels so sturdy, great for paved streets and rough trails. Used a combo of Dandyhorse’s app routes and AppleMaps to bike at our own pace, rented for 2 days, chargers worked great. Gloves tip was key; Dandyhorse should consider selling some at the store. Plan to rent from Dandyhorse again when we’re back in SF to explore even more. Jay at the store was super nice and helpful, thanks, Jay!
