We had an amazing experience! The food was delicious, we had fun, and left absolutely stuffed. Chef Alberto was a wonderful host and teacher, and was really great working with my two kids under 10. It was just our family of four in our class, and he even had child sized aprons handmade by his mom (who we sadly did not get to meet, so hope to next time!) We went on a Thursday so were taught how to make two types of tamales, multiple salsas, fresh tortillas, rajas, and guacamole, along with a cocktail/mocktail. We all learned a lot and had a great time- this was our ninth or tenth visit to Cancun, and in the past it has been really easy to stay in the Hotel Zone and never leave. This cooking class at Alberto’s home gave us an opportunity to see a part of the city we hadn’t visited before, and to step away from the resorts and chain restaurants for something local and more authentic. Our family will definitely do another cooking experience with Chef Alberto on a future visit!

A Great Excursion
Chef Alberto was great. He has a cozy kitchen where everything was well organized. We made 3 types of salsa, guacamole, rice, chicken and a fantastic mole sauce. The ingredient were fresh and my wife and I were actively involved in preparation, cooking and especially the eating. Alberto was kind, talented and knowledgeable. He is following his passion which is fantastic. We will do it again in 2026!

Chef Enrique’s Cooking Experience is not to be missed.
This market tour and cooking class was spectacular! Chef Enrique imparted Mexican cultural information in combination with touring our small group through the market. He gave us many tips on what to look for when shopping for fresh fish and produce. The meal we prepared was great. We all got some hands on prep time. He was very entertaining while teaching and explaining the recipes. Lots of food. We helped make creamy blended Fruit Margaritas. The meal was very good.

Best thing to do on a cloudy day or when you’ve had too much sun
Go hungry. There’s a lot of food and tequila tasting. Carolina was great and very funny. It was nice meeting people from all around the country.

Our guide Milton on the Cabo food tour was knowledgeable and entertaining. We enjoyed the visits to local eateries and the tequila presentation and tasting was the perfect ending to the tour. We saw that this Mercabo location offers cooking classes. We look forward to that experience in the future!

Tacos in cabos
We have been on many taco tours, and this ranks very close to the top. The tacos were delicious, the fruit, popsicles, wonderful, the churros, magnificent, and topped off with a tequila tasting. Definitely worth it.

From the moment we arrived, Chef Alberto and his precious mother, Lily, warmly welcomed us and made us feel right at home. During our time together, we were immersed in Mexican history, culture, and oh-so-delicious food. Chef Alberto curated the most wonderful recipes and provided the best instruction during our hands-on experience. We cooked, we ate, we laughed and we shared stories. By the time we departed, they were family. I can not explain how special this experience was. If you choose one outing while in Cancun, this should be it. We can't wait to return. Chef Alberto and Lilly, we miss you!

Must Do in Cabo
I booked this cooking, mixology, dance class for my fiancé and I to celebrate Valentine’s Day. I wanted to do something fun with a more traditional vibe. THIS WAS ABSOLUTELY PERFECT!!! We had such an amazing time and Karina is simply the best!!! The food and drinks were so delicious, much better than anything you’ll get at any restaurant. We met some wonderful ladies celebrating galentines. It’s a small more intimate experience which was absolutely perfect! Jorge is extremely knowledgeable on Tequila’s and made the Tequila tasting so much fun! I highly recommend!! Thank you Karina and Jorge!!

Taco Tour - yum!
Did the Juan More Taco tour with David and loved it. David was so friendly and upbeat. He showed us the local taco joints and made recommendations what to try at each restaurant. We were so full! Would definitely recommend and would do it again!

Alberto welcomed us into his home with open arms! Because no one else signed up for our date and time we got a personalized experience with just us and his amazing mom. The wonderful experience with leave lasting memories on our final day of our short Cancun trip. Thank you for the memories and the recipes!!
