Couldn't find tour! :(
We did not get to enjoy the tour. Unfortunately we were at the arc carousel but only could locate another company with red sign. Wrong one. Very difficult to find d tour guide as we were u familiar with area. :( bigger signage or COLOR of tour would've been better Leaving Paris today..missed out. I have used Viator in the past but not subcontractors ?"wonderwall",??? Not good for us.

Climbing Vesuvius did NOT disappoint!
Jon is a great guide! Very knowledgeable and friendly. Booking the tour was easy, and the whole day went quite well. The bus was comfortable and we felt safe throughout the day. Would book with him and City Wonders again! The climb up Vesuvius was harder and longer than I expected but we had enough time to take breaks and the views and experience were well worth it. (Hike all the way to the end took us about 35 minutes. I'm not an athlete but I'm fairly active. Hike is at your own pace though so you can stop and go back if it's too much.)

Poor Support from Tripadvisor
We booked and paid for a guided tour of the Vatican Museum, St Peter’s Basilica/Dome and the Sistine Chapel for 2 people however, at the start of our £236 tour we were told the tour would only be the museum. I totally understand that the Vatican closed the chapel to prepare for conclave but we were not given the option to cancel beforehand (the tour company would have already known that morning the chapel had been closed). The guide for the museum was lovely and very funny but afterwards we were told to make our own way to the Basilica if we wanted..! We could have done the museum tour ourselves for 20€ and the Basilica was free anyway instead we paid £236. I asked for a refund of 50% which I thought was fair, only to be informed by Tripadvisor we had been given a 10% refund which just covered the cost of 1 museum entry. We were told by Tripadvisor if we were not satisfied to contact the tour provider direct. I was very disappointed Tripadvisor has not advocated for us to get more of a refund as we’re on holiday and trying to contact and negotiate with an Italian tour company is not the easiest..!

Great landmarks, must see!
Very well organized, and really enjoyed the experience! Definitely landmarks that you need to see! It's comforting having someone who knows where to go, with the bonus of skipping the line, which was hundreds and hundreds of people!!!. However, I would have picked a better time to visit, it was exceptionally crowded due to it being Easter Week! (Just a side note, not a reflection on the organizers)

Learn about art without getting overwhelmed!
This tour is ideal to see and understand the key pieces so you do not get overwhelmed by the wide range of art at the Louvre. The tour guide, Maxime, did a fantastic job to help you learn about the art and the artist, and was a great story teller. Maxime made it easy to navigate the crowds and herded the group of us very well.

A unique and unforgettable day trip.
An unforgettable experience. Our tour guide Peter was outstanding, supplying the group (whilst on the coach) with interesting history facts and fables, and useful information on everything from sightseeing to eating out in Rome. All his instructions regarding the various stops and stages of the trip were relevant and clear, and he did an excellent job as a guide. At Vesuvius, it was awe inspiring to get so close to the volcano, and see the wisps of what looked like steam issuing from within. Unfortunately the low cloud prevented us from being able to appreciate the views over the bay of Naples, but we were able to see good views from the coach windows as we travelled up to the climbing point. Lunch at a restaurant on the sides of Vesuvius was pleasant, and served quite promptly considering the size of the group. There wasn't a choice of menu, but the meal consisted (for those without any special dietary requirements) of what appeared to be a samosa and potato croquette starter, a cheese, tomato and basil pizza main, and a piece of lemon cake for dessert, with plenty of bottled water available. Pompeii was a little disappointing in that we had to move at the pace of the guide we had been handed over to there, and were only able to see a small fraction of what there was to see. To have been issued with a map and guide book and given a specific time and place to meet back with the group would have been preferrable. Also, instead of allowing us the opportunity to use the free toilets on the site, the guide took us back to the meeting place, where we had to pay to use public toilets! Having said that, it is still a fascinating and unique place to visit, providing an unequalled chance to glimpse life as it was being lived in the region in AD 79. All in all, an opportunity and experience we would not have missed, with special thanks to Julian (the coach driver) and Peter (the tour guide), who both did a fantastic job for the day.

Our tour guide was horrible. We had no time to enjoy the museums and she walked really fast. We enjoyed the sites but wish we had a different guide.

Overall experience: way...
Overall experience: way too long due unnecessary stops with forced visits to factory and shops. In Positano the guide mentioned that there was a surprise visit to the limoncello factory because the mini buses were not ready. Less of a surprise to see all tour buses visit the exact same place. Village was nice. Pompeii was not that great - local tour guide Giovanni was a classic example of I am here but I’d rather be somewhere else. Totally on autopilot not interested in people, rushing through the script. If you have a spare day you can consider this tour but if not I really don’t recommend this tour from Rome. Combine it with a city trip from Napels.

Mostly paying for breakfast.
Eh. Our tour guide was fine, but the experience was not what I had expected. The breakfast is nice, but it’s a public cafe inside the Vatican’s where you could definitely go on your own. The rest of the tour, while interesting, just felt rushed and crowded with soo many other groups. I wish I had not spent the money and just gone on my own.

I throughly enjoyed this...
I throughly enjoyed this tour! The private boat had tons of room so we weren’t crammed with a ton of people. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and used the boat rides to share history and facts. The islands are a perfect place to experience the culture of Venice without a ton of crowds. The lace tour was 2min, and mostly a gift shop tour. But overall, I highly recommend this excursion.

Classic Ceremony, But Crowded
Changing the Guard at Buckingham Palace is one of those quintessential London experiences that feels like a must-see at least once but it’s definitely more about the tradition than the thrill. The pageantry, the precision, and the iconic red coats and bearskin hats are fun to watch, especially with the sound of the marching band echoing off the palace gates. There’s something special about witnessing such a historic ceremony still being performed in the modern day. That said, the crowds can be overwhelming. Unless you arrive well over an hour early, chances are you won’t get a decent view, and it’s mostly a lot of craning necks and holding cameras in the air. The ceremony itself, while charming, moves slowly and can feel a bit anticlimactic if you’re not right up at the gates. Overall, it’s a solid experience for first-time visitors or those who love royal traditions but it might not live up to the hype for everyone.

Really interesting tour with very knowledgeable guide. Leigh was excellent and knew a lot of background information that we didnt already know. Also, got opportunity to see some of the changing of the guard. Highly recommend.

Louise Saved The Day!
We had booked this tour prior to realizing it was the same weekend as the London Marathon. So, due to road closures they cancelled the changing of the guard. We had good communication prior to and did the changing of the horse guard instead. Which was amazing. We had Louise and she was the highlight of our trip. Honestly could not have asked for a more knowledgeable, fun and honest guide. She was amazing.

Disappointed.
It’s basically having a person guide you on the train and free shuttle. The only thing they do for you is buy your train and studio entry ticket. All of which you could easily do on your own for much less money.

Sophie was exceptional!!
This tour was very fast paced and tiring, but our tour guide - Sophie - was amazing! She made sure to keep everyone together and was exceptionally attentive to everyone’s needs. I would recommend this tour again specifically because of Sophie!
