Normandie
John was great, very knowledgeable. He spoke about the history, starting pre WW1. He also pointed out various historical sites along the way. The tour was very enjoyable.

Laurence and Asmaa were great, really knowledgeable throughout the tour. Gave plenty of tips and ideas of where to look and eat. Also were funny.

Took a tour here on our honeymoon and it was so beautiful. Hendricks was our guide and he was very nice and knowledgeable. He taught us alot about Monet and his life. Overall such a great experience! Definitely recommend.

Me and my girlfriend travelled to Rome in February. We knew we wanted to see something else as well. That one day guided excursion was amazing. Good staff and good price. Only that day the weather was not so great so … maybe next time we go at springtime.

Overall a really good tour
Overall the tour was good. Unfortunately some parts were closed due to the conclave. But would definitely use this company if going again. The guide was great and shared lots of knowledge about the Vatican history. I went for a tour early ib the morning ro avoid the crowds. Definitely recommend going there early.

Special Day at Murano and Burano
We had a terrific day visiting Murano and Burano. Cristina our guide shared many insights to Venice and the lagoons that surround the city on our way to Murano. The skilled craftsmen was amazing as the guide explained the process for creating a glass. The museum/store was beautiful but there was no pressure to buy. As we moved to Burano Cristina shared more about the islands. Once there we visited the lace craftsman (women). Definitely a unique talent. Cristina also shared secret restaurants and gelato shop for a special treat before heading back. It was a great experience.

Loire Valley was a dream (and Raymond & Kartika made it even better)
Honestly such a good day. The castles were beautiful (Chenonceau fully stole the show), the pacing was great, and the wine at the end hit just right. I went solo and still felt super looked after the whole time — shoutout to Raymond for the jokes and random fun facts, and Kartika for keeping the vibes smooth and organized without ever feeling rushed. It didn’t feel touristy or boring — just a chill, well-run day with stunning views, a lot of photos, and surprisingly good group energy. 10/10 would do it again (and maybe move into a castle, who knows).

A great day of culture and history
The castles were beautiful. Truly a great day. John was our guide and was truly knowledgable on French history. Truly passionate. Would be a 5/5 but I'm a tall guy and the legroom on the bus is probably not sufficient for guys over 183cms (6 feet). I'm 188 and one of my legs was jammed in for too long on the return trip.

A unique and unforgettable day trip!
An unforgettable experience. Our tour guide Peter was outstanding, supplying the group (during the coach journey) with interesting history facts and fables, and useful information on everything from sight seeing to eating out in Rome. All his advice and instruction regarding the various stops and stages of the trip was relevant and helpful, and he did an excellent job as a guide. At Vesuvius, it was awe inspiring to get so close to the volcano, and see the wisps of what looked like steam issuing from within. Unfortunately the low cloud prevented us from being able to appreciate the views over the bay of Naples, but we were able to see good views from the coach windows as we travelled up. Lunch at a restaurant on the sides of Vesuvius was pleasant, and served quite promptly considering the size of the group. There wasn't a choice of menu, but the meal consisted (for those without any dietary requirements) of a samosa and potato croquette type starter, a cheese, tomato and basil pizza main, and a piece of lemon cake for dessert, with plenty of bottled water available. Pompeii was a little frustrating in that we had to move at the pace of the guide we had been handed over to there, and were only able to see a small fraction of what there was to see, and certainly much less than we would have been able to if we had been able to travel at our own pace. To have been issued with a map and guide book and given a specific time and place to meet back with the group would have been preferable. Also, instead of allowing us the opportunity to use the free toilets on the site, the guide took us back to the group meeting place, where we had to pay to use public toilets! Having said that, it is still a fascinating and unique place to visit, providing an unequalled chance to glimpse life as it was being lived in the region in AD 79. We are grateful to have had the opportunity to experience this trip. Our thanks to Julian (the coach driver) and Peter (the tour guide) both of whom did their utmost to ensure a safe and enjoyable day out for us all.

Carole was very knowledgeable and entertaining. Cemetery is huge, finding certain graves would be very difficult without a guide.

We had a great morning...
We had a great morning gaining fascinating insights into the historical sites included in the book. We were lucky to be the only ones on the tour, so the experience was all the more unique. Our guide, Inti, was awesome! Besides his thorough knowledge of the ancient sites, he also brought the experience to life by adding some dramatic effect and humour. We’re really glad we did this tour and would recommend it to fans of the book and those interested in seeing some of the not so obvious sites too.

Inconsiderate guide
Not sure if "skip-the-line" is really needed. We arrived early. My husband went to look for a bathroom. The guide, Sandra, said he could go to the cafe and order an espresso, and then they will let him use the bathroom - and she told him to hurry. He returned in time for the tour to begin as scheduled at 12:30pm. The guide then said they have to wait 10 minutes for the late arrivals. She gave extensive explanations about the Doge's Palace before we went to the security line, where we waited another 20 minutes. The Doges Palace tour ended around 1:40pm. My husband went to find another bathroom before the Basilica tour. But the guide went after him and told him he did not have time to use the bathroom because we had to keep to the schedule. This is ridiculous. He had to skip the Basilica tour. And our group still had to wait in line to enter the Basilica.

Glad We Did It, But One and Done
Overall I would say do it if nothing but to see Lake Como which is beautiful. The guide was nice and good. I just didnt care for the town of Bellagio or Varenna but that’s just me. IMO these places are nothing but tourist traps with inflated prices for everything. Food is overpriced and poor quality and service sucks. After they initially ignored us at the restaurant provided no service, then they provided poor service, then they overcharged us 23EU which surely wasnt a mistake. Again the highlight was the boat ride across the Lake but other than that we didnt love it. Had nothing to do with the tour guide who kept us on schedule and provided great info.

The place was amazing by itself!! Sylvia was our guide, she did a wonderfun job. Very knowledge, encourage us to ask extra questions, help with pictures, explain everything very well.
