We visited Bran Castle on a Friday during the summer. We didn’t book tickets online and bought them at the entrance instead. There were plenty of ticket machines, and you could pay by cash or credit card, which made the process very easy. There was no long queue. We chose the Guided Royal Tour with Fast Pass. The ticket also included the Torture Room, Time Tunnel, and the Medieval Summer Village, which is open until September. Our guide was excellent. She explained the history of Bran Castle and the Dracula legend in a very engaging way. She added funny jokes throughout the tour, so it was never boring. We visited the secret passage, the torture room, and many other parts of the castle. Everything was explained clearly. One of the highlights was being allowed to take photos from a castle balcony that is normally closed to the public. Bran Castle has a unique history. In several rooms, the original stone walls have been left exposed, giving visitors an authentic feeling of the castle. Our children really enjoyed the experience. It was fun, educational, and definitely worth visiting.

The castle is really nice. It was not the cheapest (25€ + we also bought an additional ticket for the torture room which was around 6€), but in my opinion it was worth it. The castle itself is really nice, we were really satisfied with the torture room as well. The surrounding places are also very nice. We loved the trip there.

Look, it's an authentic experience with some interesting history behind it and they also cater to those who are only interested in the Dracula connection. However, as European "museums" go, it's really not up there in terms of the collection. There is not much left from the early days, barring the structure itself. Most of it is from the early 20th century, and, outside that, there are a lot of make-shift props rather than actual relics. But it IS a genuine Transylvanian experience in a beautiful region and it's a must do if you're in the Brasov area. Definitely worth half a day. Pre-buy the guided tour ticket with torture chamber. Can get very crowded but I was there in summer and didn't see big queues. The castle itself can get a little cramped as, well, it's a medieval castle.
