Bran Castle is absolutely worth visiting for its spectacular scenery and location. The views of the surrounding mountains are impressive and create a memorable experience on their own. Unfortunately, the museum itself has become overly commercial. Ticket prices are quite high, and the exhibition focuses heavily on the Dracula myth, while the real historical background of the castle is largely overlooked. This is disappointing, considering the castle’s long and well-documented history, with its first official mention dating back to 1377, a fact also referenced in documents displayed inside. Bran Castle has a much richer and more authentic history than what is currently emphasized. Overall, the visit is still enjoyable thanks to the landscape and atmosphere, but the museum experience could be far more balanced and informative.

A nice tourist attraction and it was interesting to read about the families who lived in the castle. I was expecting to see more things related to Vlad and Dracula, but there were not that many things related to them. Standard entrance fee was 90 lei for adult and if I remember correctly 50 lei for kids. There are also fast track tickets available for 150 for adults. This does not include some additional exhibitions like torture rooms, for which tou need to pay extra. I think this is a little bit too expensive for what you get. We came at the opening hour and there was a very long queue, which was moving very slow up until the end of the castle. This was a little frustrating. There is a souvenir shop in the castle and there are also souvenirs outside the castle at the entrance (there is a big souvenirs street market).

Great experience apart from the shop in the tent outside.The lady was to busy on the phone to serve customers and when she did she overcharged my 11 year old son . Rude and still on the phone even after we mentioned she should mind the customeres .
