We visited the castle in Christmas. Seeing the castle atop the hill, while there is snow all around was great. The interior is a bit disappointing though. First of all, it was renovated in the beginning of 20th century, so be prepared. There is nothing medieval to see inside, except maybe some exhibits. Secondly, there is little to none exhibits about Vlad tepes. Truth be told, there is no historical evidence that Vlad Tepes even lived there! The exhibition is focused on the castle's latest resident, which was Queen Mary.
