First time Shibuya

Jane was a marvellous welcoming host who made the group feel at ease. The food stops were all at places which we would not have found on our own and were all excellent. The first stop for Ramen was particularly good and left me feeling quite full, with four stops to go! I enjoyed them all and we had a lovely evening in Shibuya.

Excellent food tour with Jane. Very friendly and took us to great places we never would have found by ourselves. Particularly loved the authentic Hakata Tonkotsu ramen.

Great food with greater tour guide

Easiest 5 star review, all because of our Tour Guide Natsumi. Not only were the food stops fantastic, she offered the perfect combination of history, culture, personal and local tidbits that really let us get to know the area and Japan as a whole. She was so friendly and open with us while being professional and informative. Really one of my favourite food tours ever.

The Title doesn’t match the Tour

Our tour guide, Raqel, was absolutely wonderful—warm, kind, and spoke excellent English. We give her our very best recommendation. However, based on the title of the tour, we expected the matcha experience to be the main highlight. In reality, it made up only about one-third of the trip. A large portion of the tour was spent walking around the area and visiting temples, something we could have done on our own. The Japanese lunch, included at a small and charming restaurant, was excellent. When we finally arrived at the matcha shop, we met a delightful staff member who taught us how to prepare our own matcha tea, which was both fun and educational. Overall, while there were enjoyable parts, we recommend that the organizers adjust the tour to better reflect the description so that it is worth the money.

Excellent street food tour with some fun activities thrown in. Natsumi our guide was very knowledgeable.

The street food tour of Shinsekai was a good introduction to some Osaka’s street food. Particularly liked the octopus. Natsumi was a very likeable and interesting guide. She was knowledgeable and picked some great places to visit.

Excellent walking tour

Paul and I would just like to say how much we enjoyed our tour today in Nippori ( Tokyo) Our host, Makki, was exceptional She organised food for us without any issues, which was not easy as we are both vegetarians She was knowledgeable and happy to help with all our questions The tour was well organised , with just the right number of people ( 6 inc a young lady from your HR office) The tea ceremony was lovely without being too formal but again was really informative Paul and Julie Whitehouse from England
