Would thoroughly recommend this tour to our family and friends

We had fabulous time on this tour and found Jane to be very informative and entertaining. Her knowledge of the Japanese cuisine was impressive.

Great guide, tons of food — come hungry!

Jane was our guide, she wasso kind and knowledgeable. Only thing i regret, there was so much food and I couldn’t finish all. So, if you’re taking afternoon tour, i guess better to have a light lunch so that you are not full.

Excellent experience

Really excellent experience with a very good tour guide, Mickey. She went out of her way to make everything great for us. Not only did we eat delicious food along the way but we got a brilliant insiders view of the city and some corners which we simply would not have found ourselves. Highly recommend it.

Overall good experience

The travel guide was very friendly, and the explanations on the different types of native foods and their origins were clear. I also got to practice a bit of Japanese and using chopsticks. Aside from the tour, I got to take part in amusement games such as throwing ninja stars, archery, and shooting.

Great tour for all ages.

We had a great experience. Our guide Kaz was excellent, and knew lots of interesting places to go, and foods to eat. We recommend this tour. FYI we were two adults, age 78 and 82, and two young adults, age 19 and 20. We all enjoyed it.

Good food tour in Osaka

We spent one day in Osaka, and ended with the food tour. Very good tour, with lots of interesting stops, including a knife store, and a Shinto shrine, as well as fun food. We were three people, ages 78, 82, and 20. We all enjoyed it.

Fun Day in Uji

The matcha tour in Uji was a great tour. Ako was a wonderful tour guide. Despite an absolute downpour of rain, she kept smiling and energetic, even as she got soaked with rain getting tickets to the temple while we all remained dry. Ako was full of interesting information. The tea house we visited was really interesting in terms of its history and the matcha making experience at the tea house was a lot of fun. All of the food along the way was wonderful. Thank you Ako for a great day!

Kyoto food tour

We did a food tour in Kyoto. Our guide was Morten who initially came to Kyoto for his doctoral research. His knowledge of the sites was detailed & very interesting. We also had a lot of fun trying out the food & drinks. The tour was generous with the tastings.we also learned a lot!

Family Adventure in Harajuku

My family had an amazing time with Hannah! We were promptly picked up at our hotel and had an easy ride into Tokyo. We had a chance to discuss our interests and what we would get a chance to see and dialed into our personal tour of Harajuku. It was great to walk and explore while also stopping in for delicious snacks along the way. From the matcha lattes to masubi it was a perfect afternoon adventure. Our stop for lunch to make Okonomiyaki was a treat enjoyed by everyone including our 4 & 8 year old sons. The walk down Takeshita Street was a lot of fun with tons of great shopping and sightseeing. Hannah was an amazing tour guide with so much knowledge of the area and history. She also captured a bunch of family memory photos which was so nice. All in all 100% worth doing!

Opening up the food of Hiroshima

A great fun evening with Aleef. He was knowledgeable and very informative and kept the tour informal and fun. From the vending machine culture to Hiroshima oysters, Sake tasting and the local treat of Okonomiyaki, we covered a wide selection of food and venues. All those hidden away places up stairs and down alleys become immediately accessible.

Best Food tour yet!!

Absolutely outstanding! Jacob was our guide, was patient in us getting to our meeting point! Perfect conversation and knowledge of the city and history as well as modern cultures! We learned so much and had an amazing time!!

Great Kyoto Food Tour!

Pontocho Walking Food Tour We met our guide, Daniela for a walking food tour around the Pontocho and Gion Shirakawa areas. Our first stop was at the Kiharu Brasserie to experience the local Okonomiyaki 'pancake' dish, which was delicious. We moved on through the Gion district and Daniela pointed out places of interest in this rustic and historical area. We sampled teas and specialist sweets (including being given a gift of our choice) before going on to a restaurant sampling an assortment of Yakitori 'kebab' skewers, expertly chosen by Daniela, along with tastings of sake and craft beers. Daniela was a charming, friendly and informative host and we thoroughly enjoyed her company and expertise on the history of the area and guidance on choosing the local food to try. We would thoroughly recommend both Daniela and the walking food tour.

Cute and delicious food tour with amazing guide

This review is long overdue, but we wanted to share our wonderful experience on the "Crazy Cute & Kawaii Harajuku Food Tour" last November 2024. It ended up just being the tour guide, Wes, and our family: myself, my husband and 2 girls, ages 7 and 10. Wes was an amazing tour guide, giving us the history and cultural significance of the food we tried and teaching us about Japanese customs. He was very accommodating and flexible and geared the tour toward our interests. He took plenty of family photos of us which he shared with us after the trip. He even surprised us by stopping at a photo booth-type store at the end to take some cute family photos as a memento. We ate SO MUCH good food that day. We felt like we were touring the city with an old friend instead of being on a tour.
