Kyoto walking and food tour

We had an evening walking and food tour with Morten in Kyoto. We had a great evening with some awesome food and sweet treats. Morten was a great guide, we talked about Japanese history and we were given an introduction to Kanji. My wife is vegetarian and there were options in all the places we went to. Thanks for a great time!

Food tour

We had a terrific evening with François exploring the amazing Shimbashi district. He's knowledgeable, funny and took us to places we'd never have discovered. Also, do arrive hungry! Would absolutely recommend his services, he is full of interesting tips, helpful advice, and we had a wonderful experience as part of our first trip to Japan.

entertaining, umami filled and great fun fish market tour

Hugely enjoyable tour with our enthusiastic guide, Yappi, starting with the best cup of coffee in Tokyo followed by a light breakfast and a few appropriate new words. Then an intensive tour of the fish market with tastings and a delicious picnic at the end. Who knew oysters could grow to be so big! We tasted the finest sashimi, and other delicacies previously unknown to us (might give sea urchins a miss in future but you’ve got to try them to know!).

A great experience

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Alex. He introduced us to the Shinjuku area of Tokyo really well, explaining some of its history and quirky culture as we moved around. We stopped at four places and had an excellent range of food. Each place was quite a different experience and included restaurants that we would never have tried without a guide. Thank you Alex.

Amazing street food with our guide Ike!

Our guide Ike led an amazing tour of Osaka. He took us places we never would have found on our own, sharing his vast knowledge of the region and food traditions along the way. Highly recommended!

Fun start to Japan vacation

Shigeki gave us a varied and fun tour of the area around Tsukiji Outer Market that included more than food. We visited a Buddhist Temple in the area, as well as a kitchen supply shop, a knife stall, and a ceramics shop. He had pre-ordered some food at a restaurant that caters to night shift workers and he spent some time coaching us on appropriate table manners in Japan. Then we walked through the market picking up food along the way, some snacks, before sitting down to enjoy various types of tuna (yellow fin and blue fin, real wasabi paste he ground from the root at our table, and local fruits). Finally we stopped for frozen desert wrapped in a fish shaped “cone”. Shigeki was friendly and interesting and we enjoyed our 3 hours with him.

Breakfast tour with our amazing guide Yapi!

Yapi took us on an amazing breakfast tour of Tsukiji! He was super knowledgeable about the area and its history. And he was connected to some amazing fish purveyors. We left stuffed and had a wonderful time!

Fish Market tour!

Yappy was a wonderful guide who took us around the new fish market with great insight. We loved his commentary surrounding the food we were eating and the grounds we were exploring. Would certainly recommend this experience for anyone hoping to get a comprehensive look at the market and, of course, try some wonderful sashimi.

shinjuku experience with amazing guide

We had a fantastic time touring Shinjuku with Alex as our guide. We got to see so many things we would not have otherwise seen & eaten without a guide, & Alex gave us the insider scoop! All the food was delicious, & the karaoke fun at the end was a night I’ll never forget!

We had a wonderful time with a variety of stops. Bring your appetite. There was lots of food. Our guide SAIKA, was great. She added a lot of interesting facts about the area. We enjoyed going to out-of-the-way places we would have never known about. Highly recommend.

What a great tour of Uji!! Karim is a great tour guide. From visiting all of the temples (the Byodoin Temple is beautiful) to a delicious soba lunch, and topping it off with the Matcha making class, we had a great time. Karim is very knowledgeable and is a delightful person. I’m so happy that we booked this tour. I highly recommend it.

A Must-Do Food Tour in Kyoto

Our food tour in Kyoto’s Nishiki Market with Raquel was absolutely fabulous! The tour was jam-packed with incredible food, and we ate so much—all of it delicious and at places we definitely wouldn’t have discovered on our own. Raquel was an amazing guide: knowledgeable, friendly, and full of great insights about the market and the local food culture. I thoroughly recommend her and this tour to anyone wanting an authentic and unforgettable food experience.

Fun Food Tour with Unique Stops

I had such a great time on this food tour with Ami as our guide. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience really enjoyable. We stopped at so many different places to try a variety of foods, including a quirky vending machine stop that I absolutely loved! On top of the food, Ami also took us around some fantastic stores, which added even more to the experience. I really enjoyed this tour and would definitely recommend it.
