Tasty wanderings!
We really enjoyed our tour with Natsumi! We learned a lot about the history of the area, the food culture of Osaka and dishes that were Natsumi’s personal favorites. The knife stop was really educational and we also loved learning about the crazy food signs that are an Osaka trademark.

Excellent guide and tour!
Food tours are one of the favorite experiences when visiting a new country and our tour with Alex was excellent. I took 3 of my kids and we all loved it, including one picky eater. It was my daighter’s 13th birthday and Alex even surprised us at one restaurant with singing from the lively staff with singing and a dessert. Can’t say enough about how great this tour was!

An excellent relaxed tour
We were joined by a lovely couple, Bruce and Kayleigh, from the States on this tour. The tour took us around 4-5 different food places, with our starters and main meal being served in different places. We also visited a local knife shop which was interesting and made all the better because there was no hard selling by the lovely person who gave us the demo of the excellent knives. We had two guides Ike and Tomo who were knowledgeable and really friendly. By the end of the tour we were just eating, drinking and chatting

Fun and enlightening
Jane was an excellent guide, sharing her knowledge of different Japanese cuisines with infectious enthusiasm. Janes rapport with the various restaurants meant we received an experience more akin to popular regulars than tourists. The food was superb and plentiful, so we'd recommend skipping lunch beforehand and learning the phrase gochisou sama deshita!

Fantastic Night Street Food Experience in Osaka with Ike & Arigato Japan Food Tours
I recently joined a night street food tour in Osaka with Arigato Japan Food Tours, and it was truly one of the highlights of my time in Japan. From start to finish, the experience was perfectly curated, combining incredible local flavours with cultural insight and genuine local charm. My guide, Ike, was outstanding — friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about Osaka’s food culture. He took me to hidden gems and authentic street food spots that I would never have found on my own, explaining the history and stories behind each dish and the neighbourhoods we explored. Every stop felt carefully chosen and full of character. The pace was relaxed, the food was delicious (especially the takoyaki and kushikatsu!), and the overall atmosphere was warm and engaging. It felt less like a formal tour and more like discovering Osaka with a local friend who truly loves what he does. A great glimpse into the Osaka food scene
We heard that Osaka was the food capital of Japan, and it did not disappoint on the tour led by our guide Asli. She led us through the area around the Dotonbori to four different restaurants that offered different styles of food for which Osaka is known. Asli also showed us the famed view of the neon signs, including the Gilco Running Man, from the Ebisu Bridge. While walking through the Chuo Ward, she explained the different types of restaurant signs and how to decode what they mean. This was a great and easy way to dive into Osaka on our first day.

Great food and sights!
This tour was very fun! The Tsukiji market had a lot of great and tasty options, the weather was perfect for an outside picnic, and the temple we also visited was so gorgeous. Jane was our tour guide and did an amazing job leading the experience!

Great Brunch Tour!
Jane was an awesome guide through the market! Starting at Turret Coffee was just what I needed to get going. We tried a Japanese breakfast and later had a picnic of all the great foods she picked out. Tuna and pickled apricots were my favorites. Jane is great at her job and patiently answered our questions. She is passionate about sharing her love of Japan and the market. She even took the time to teach us about Shintoism at the Namiyoke Shrine when we passed it. Great trip!

A nice sampler of some of the tastes and flavours of Tokyo thru the lens of just a few of the unique city neighbourhoods. A small insight into the cultural nuances of each area with a tasting of sake , crafted cocktails and Japanese wine and local snacks and delicacies . Glenda our guide was lovely and a lot of fun!

Amazing experience - feels like a night out with a friend!
My husband and I had the best food tour with our guide Ron. He took us to so many places we would’ve never gone to on our own, and all the food was delicious. Having a guided experience made Dotonbori less overwhelming and ensured we got good food and not touristy stuff. Also, it felt more like hanging with a local friend on a night out vs a tour. Ron was so easy to chat with, answered all of our questions, and gave us so much insight into Japanese culture. We can’t say enough good things about him and are recommending his tour to all of our friends.
