Our guide Magga and the 3 day south coast tour was wonderful. We were promptly notified that the tour would be delayed due to weather conditions, but we were still able to see everything that was planned. Highly recommend Arctic Adventures.

I was being racisms and discriminated by a local tour guide. 被旅行團導遊種族歧視,中文內容滑到最下面 I booked a day tour to Golden circle on 8 Feb, my agent was Arctic advanteures. Then the bus coming to me was your day tour. Tour guide just assumed and called me Chinese, I’ve clarified I’m from Taiwan. And he insisted I’m a Chinese if I speak Mandarin Chinese. So people speak English are all American. People speak Spanish are all Spanish ??? There are a lot of people speak mandarin/Chinese in Asia, but he just kept saying Chinese is a culture, it doesn’t mean I’m from China. I’ve clarified I’m not comfortable about what he said, he just kept having excuse for his rude behavior. Afterward, he came and told me he called people “Allah” and those people were not angry and didn’t care they were from other countries. How can a tour guide call people by their religion ? I don’t understand why a tour guide was saying that and he was not aware any of his inappropriate behavior, he even defended and argued for himself. I didn’t pay for being lessened by an icelandic tour guide about being Chinese or hearing he’s calling people Allah. His comments made me uncomfortable while journey. I didn’t have any mood to enjoy the beauty in Iceland and this is my last day in Iceland, that’s the memory I got. Plus, when I was waiting for pickup, as I said my agent was arctic adventures but this car was your day tour, I didn’t receive any mail that the car to pick me up would be your day tour, I paid a lot attention on arctic adventures mini bus. this tour guide even didn’t get down the car and yell the name. I went and asked eventually and he said he was waiting some Asian and Chinese. I asked who is he waiting. He said “ I don’t know how to say their name, don’t know how to say their name”. He repeated himself twice. He even didn’t try or spell the names ! It’s me having a look on his waiting list and found myself there. And he told everyone in the car there’s some Asian or Chinese. But he still stayed in the car, I was not sure if he’s doing any effort to reach these people. Then he just called his agency and said these people didn’t show up and he couldn’t wait he had to go. Then we left. But based on my experience, he even didn’t get down the car, and it’s me checking my name on my own. He just waited and thought people would come and ask. Anyways, horrible experience and already wrote the review and report to the agent and government.

Anyways, horrible experience and already wrote the review and report to the agent and government. I booked a one-day tour of the Golden Circle on 2/8. I originally signed up with arctic adventures, but the car that picked me up was your day tour. When getting on the bus, the tour guide directly said that there was a Chinese girl and asked him to confirm it. I immediately thought that I was from Taiwan. The tour guide raised his hand to tell me to be quiet because he was counting the number of people. I repeated it afterward. The tour guide didn't care at all and said you speak Chinese, right? That is Chinese So everyone who speaks English is American? Are all Spanish speakers Spanish? He started to reply that Chinese is Chinese culture, which does not mean that I said you are from China, and then he started to explain that he knew Taiwan, blah blah blah blah. Very rude. I already made it clear that I don’t like the title of tour guide but didn’t apologize and even insisted on my opinion. After arriving at the first scenic spot, the tour guide came to me and said: Are you Taiwanese? (Reinterpreting his Chinese concept), I also call them Allah directly, and they are not angry or care that they are from different countries. Oh my god, he just calls people "Allah"? He calls others by religion? This is a tour group. What are the basic professional qualities of a tour guide? I didn’t spend money to come to Iceland to educate people. What is Chinese? In addition, when I was waiting to be picked up, the tour I booked was arctic adventure, but the sign of the car that picked me up was "you day tour" So naturally I didn't ask about this car at first, but after waiting for a long time, I started asking about every car. I asked the tour guide if you were waiting for anyone. The tour guide said he was waiting for a few Asians and Chinese people I just said what's your name? The tour guide said that he couldn’t pronounce it and he didn’t know how to pronounce Asian names. He didn't even try! He keeps saying that he can't read, how can he confirm that he can't read? In the end, I got on the bus and looked at the list. I found that I was on the top, so I found a seat and sat down. Then the tour guide told everyone on the bus that there were several Asians or Chinese people. This is the time to wait, and I don’t see the tour guide getting out of the car to call anyone. In the end, he called his agency and said that he couldn't wait for these Asians, and there was no reply to the letter he sent. The departure time was coming and he couldn't wait any longer. Finally we left In addition, when he only stayed in the car at first and did not intend to say our Asian names, I felt that he was extremely negative at all. Did he not want Asians in his car at all? I have written to the agent and hope for follow-up (Original) I was being racisms and discriminated by a local tour guide. 被旅行團導遊種族歧視,中文內容滑到最下面 I booked a day tour to Golden circle on 8 Feb, my agent was Arctic advanteures. Completed a 5 day tour along with other day trips. Our guide Gunnar was very knowledgeable and friendly. Pick up points were easy to locate and I never had to wait more than 5-10 mins. Artic team was easy to communicate with by phone and email for rescheduling tours due to weather. The bus was heated, comfortable, and had wifi. The drivers were very skilled at driving in very windy, icy, and rainy conditions. As a solo traveler I felt safe. The ice cave tours, snowmobiling, lava tube tour were all excellent. Definitely will travel with artic adventures again in the future!

Tour Katla Ice Cave byla rozhodně nezapomenutelným zážitkem! Náš průvodce Tomasz byl fantastický. Zkušený, znalý a vtipný. Ledová jeskyně je naprosto dechberoucí a atmosféra celého místa je jedinečná. Rozhodně velice doporučuji!

Our experience with the Katla Ice Cave Tour on February 5th was unfortunately disappointing. The issues started right away: At the meeting point were - other as stated in the email we got in advance - no signs for Arctic Adventures. We only found out through asking other tour operators that the tour was actually run by Southcoast Adventure, which was not communicated in advance. The drive to the glacier took 1.5 hours instead of the advertised 40 minutes, with no explanation from the guide. This made the entire tour 1.5 hours longer than expected, disrupting our plans for the rest of the day. Additionally, we had to wait another 30 minutes because a wedding was taking place inside the ice cave, which we were initially told would be just a few minutes. There was very little information provided about the cave, and due to strong winds, it was almost impossible to hear the guide unless standing right next to them. Seat belt safety was also not properly addressed, and one of the seat belts in our row was not working properly, leading to an uncomfortable and even unsafe ride since my sisters head hit the ceiling multiply times. The guide only once asked if everyone is alright which we did not even hear since we were sitting in the last row next to a very loud and noisy motor or something like that. On a positive note, the scenery at the glacier was breathtaking. However, given the lack of organization, communication, and the unexpected delays, I cannot recommend this tour—especially for the high price (200 Euros per Person)

We recently completed a 6-day Ring Road tour with Arctic Adventures, guided by Freysteinn Gíslason (Frey). Despite his tough exterior, this Icelandic guide has a heart of gold. Even with heavy snowfall during our trip, we managed to see everything on our wishlist - the Northern Lights, waterfalls, and glaciers. We initially considered self-driving, but after experiencing Iceland's unpredictable winter weather firsthand, we're grateful we chose a guided tour. With severe snowstorms just days before our departure, a car accident we witnessed on day one, and a snow storm alert on our final day that caused many tour cancellations, we feel incredibly fortunate to have completed our journey in this perfect window of opportunity. The challenging part of self-driving would have been managing the exhausting schedule of daytime driving and nighttime aurora hunting. Thanks to our tour arrangement, we could rest on the minibus between sightseeing stops, leaving us with enough energy to spend 2-3 hours searching for the Northern Lights each night. Catching the aurora requires perfect conditions - strong aurora activity, clear skies, and minimal light pollution - making each sighting special. Thank you, Arctic Adventures, and especially Frey, for making this incredible journey possible!

We did a 3-day tour in small group to 3 Day - Golden Circle, South Coast, Jökulsárlón & Ice Cave. The tour guide is very punctual and efficient. He was excellent driver. Even the weather is heavily snow but he managed to get us to the location and on the right time. We did get to the Black Beach right on the sunset and enjoy the places with less tourists. I love it the most. On the schedule, the first day would be very busy right after pickup. We went on full Golden Circle and only checked in our hotel at late around 8:00 pm. The second day was stunning with the iceberg and ice cave. We did go with a very beautiful ice cave and knowledgable tour guide. I think the second day is the most rewarding day of the long tour. The last day was very easy. We checked in the Black beach and the twin waterfalls on the way back to Reyklavik. We arrived very early back to Reyklavik at 3:00. We did not see any northen lights on the tour since it was cloudly on all 3 days. Or maybe I missed it since I think northern lights must be very brights while I have been explained latter if the lights is weak, we can only capture it by phone and can not see it through our eyes. The accommodation is simple yet cosy. There was no microwave but we do not expect much. I think as to Iceland, that’s already fairly accepted. If only I can recommend, I think we can make more stops on the 3rd days. I love Icelandic horse but have not had a chance to see it while I saw others 3-day tour can. After all, I would recommend Artic Adventure for their efficiency and good organization as well as their committed itinerary. All of those are is not easy to deliver in such a extreme weather-changing yet amazing Iceland. Tip: if travelling in winter, always need a water-proof jackets and pants. We rent them and they are very helpful for all 3 days. The Black Beach is very dangerous. We saw a woman got all wet, but luckily she can run back. The wave is wild, never under-estimate them.

We had an absolutely incredible experience with Vjeran , our guide to the south coast of Iceland! He took us to the most breathtaking locations, from scenic waterfalls and glaciers to all the stunning landscapes of the Golden Circle and beyond. His deep knowledge and entertaining storytelling made the journey special. We had booked three full day adventures, which included snowboarding and ice caving and Vjeran ensured we stayed on track. If you’re looking for an expert guide who is both professional and fun, Vjeranis the one – highly recommended!

We went on the Katla ice cave tour from Vik. The "super Jeeps" were an hour late to pick us up (they're not Jeeps). We were not contacted by Arctic Adventures to let us know they were running so late. I was completely unprepared for what came next. I found the tour itself to be terrifying and the ice cave massively underwhelming. The rides to and from the glacier were extremely rough, so much so that it seemed like we were going to flip over and/or get stuck many times. Most of the time we weren't driving on a road. A second vehicle & guide followed is part of the way there. We were told this was "in case something happens." But at some point he disappeared...We drove back in the dark, and visibility was terrible at times. The hike to/from the ice cave was more difficult than described and it is seriously dangerous. Do NOT bring kids or elderly people. There were multiple opportunities to slip and fall into a ravine. There's a thin rope to hold onto and that's it as far as a safety feature. The ice cave is very small and not at all what I was expecting. The whole thing felt like a near-death experience to me and it was absolutely not worth it.

I recently joined a 2-day South Coast tour with Arctic Adventures and had the pleasure of being guided by V Ignor. He was flexible, patient, and incredibly knowledgeable throughout the trip. His driving skills made us feel safe, even with strong winds during our journey. V Ignor’s passion and professionalism truly enhanced my experience. This was my third visit to Iceland, and his dedication made it unforgettable. I highly recommend V Ignor for anyone looking to explore Iceland in a memorable way.
