Amazing South Coast Adventure with Slavi! I had an incredible experience on the Arctic Adventure South Coast Small Group Day Tour, thanks to our fantastic guide, Slavi. From the very beginning, he was professional, friendly, and full of knowledge about Iceland’s history, geology, and culture. His passion for the country made the tour even more special. Slavi’s storytelling kept us engaged throughout the journey, and he made sure everyone in the group was comfortable and having a great time. He also gave us plenty of time at each stop, ensuring we could fully appreciate the stunning waterfalls, black sand beaches, and breathtaking landscapes. His driving was smooth and safe, which was especially reassuring on Iceland’s unpredictable roads. What stood out most was Slavi’s enthusiasm and attention to detail. He went above and beyond to make sure we had an unforgettable experience, even sharing great photography tips and local recommendations. If you’re considering this tour, I highly recommend it—especially if you’re lucky enough to have Slavi as your guide!

Our guide Justinos from Arctic was so knowledgeable about the places along the south coast of Iceland and was an excellent guide. He was organised and made sure he kept the itinerary moving but without feeling rushed. We actually met him on a separate tour the day before purely because he was being friendly and was just having a chat, and this was the same for when he was leading our tour. The Ice caving guide was also fantastic and Iceland itself is beautiful

I cannot recommend this tour enough! From start to finish, everything was seamless and truly unforgettable. Our driver was prompt and courteous, making pick-up smooth and stress-free. It was a great start to an adventure that only got better. Our tour guide, Lathur, was absolutely fantastic—knowledgeable, friendly, and always ensuring everyone was safe while still having an amazing time. He shared fascinating insights about the glacier, the caves, and the surrounding landscape, making the experience both educational and exciting. The Katla Ice Caves themselves were breathtaking—otherworldly blue ice formations, stunning textures, and a surreal atmosphere that felt like stepping into another planet. Every moment of the tour was well-paced, and we had plenty of opportunities to take in the beauty and capture incredible photos. This was hands down one of the best experiences I had in Iceland. If you’re looking for an adventure that combines natural wonder, expert guidance, and top-notch service, this is the tour to book. A truly unforgettable experience! Would definitely do it again!

This is going to be a long review, but Arctic Adventures deserves every word and every moment spent writing it. So... I'll start with the people... Our guide Michal - a great person, very nice, calm, the right approach to the group members, despite the fact that we chose the most extreme version of visiting the glacier and we are experienced people in rock climbing, he often asked if everything was ok and the speed at which we were going was right for us. During the climb, he passed knowledge about the glacier, how fast it melts and we also talked about private topics, thanks to which the atmosphere was very friendly. Michal as a guide is really great, he took care of our safety, explained well and showed how to use the equipment. I absolutely can't say anything bad about him. Office staff - Ola - a very nice, smiling, friendly person, although we didn't have much contact with each other because it was only a moment during check-in and fitting shoes, we will remember her very good, so much so that after the expedition we all took a group photo., There was another woman in the office, unfortunately I don't remember her name (sorry) and in her case I can't say anything bad, just a super positive person with a smile and kindness. Other Arctic Adventures staff were also very nice, positive, smiling, whenever we passed each other somewhere they asked how the expedition was, if we were alive or how we feeling. that was really nice. About the expedition itself... The expedition itself was a dream come true... Glacier Xtreme we knew it would be hard and sometimes it was, but we are very happy, ice climbing is an unforgettable experience. with such people 6 hours on the glacier is not enough, even though we were already tired, there is sadness that such a wonderful adventure has ended. The experience overall was very nice! The glacier is beautiful and the hike is absolutely doable for most people who are moving on a regular basis. Equipment and everything about the glacier is explained well. Here, I would only like to point out that the tour was supposed to start at 10:00 and that you were supposed to be there 15 minutes early. The tour didn’t’t start before 10:30 so we were standing around waiting quite a bit. After that we did the horse riding on the black beach! Everyone at the stable is really nice and communicative and they also explained everything really well! The horses all have a story and it was great to hear about them. Riding along black sand beach is an amazing experience. We were only riding at 5 p.m. and finished the glacier hike at 1:30 p.m., which left a big break in between. It you still have to drive a fair amount, it is not such a good timing and it could be improved. Also, the briefing stated that our tour starts at 3:45 p.m. and when we arrived we were told it was at 5 p.m. All in all, it is an experience you shouldn’t miss!

Review for the 3-day trip with Ice cave. The description is so misleading that I want to call it SCAM! Remove Ice Cave from the title and people will be happy for bonus 'ice hole'. If your main goals is to see an ice cave (as it WAS ours) which is possible only during the winter - use other companies and pay attention that they start their trip from Diamond Beach area! Check this very carefully!! There is no ice cave on this tour with Arctic Adventure - they will show you the hole in the ice(see the picture). We, and many others on our tour who expected to see an ice cave were extremely disappointed. Our guide on the glacier hike/ice cave portion of the trip Kristian was great - knowledgeable, friendly and funny and we know it was not his fault. Going for 3 days trip just to see the Diamond beach is just not worth it - not comfort- or time-wise and financially. You will be driving a lot there and back at some points. If you want to do a Glacier hike and see South coast or Golden Circle, there are closer glaciers. You still can stay in the same nice hotel in Reykjavik, no need to pay the inadequate price for the “trip hotel” or driving back and forth.
