I had a great experience! We did the 3 day tour which included the hotel. The hotel itself was so nice and situation near the mountains which were beautiful. The tour guide John was patient and had a lot of stories to tell. It was so fun to experience all of Iceland with this company. We even got to see the northern lights at the 2nd day. We were so lucky! I do wish that John had actually remembered to give me my hiking boots on the first day. I kind of had wet feet which kind of sucked. Though I received it on the 2nd day so it didn't ruin the entire trip I guess! But the glacier experience left something to be desired. It was our misfortune for our guide to be Lucy who seemed intent on rushing the tour. Thus we hardly got any photo opportunities. She even chided me and my friend for being slow but throughout the entire hike she hardly gave any photo taking opportunities. The ice cave we barely stopped for just a few minutes. It was very sad. I would hope that Lucy the guide be more patient as we are paying customers. She may have seen the mountains & glaciers her whole life and so may not think much of it. But to deny us photo opportunities to us who a glacier opportunity is a once in a lifetime experience is terrible.

Glacier Extreme - Highly recommended tour. If you want to experience ice climbing and see the glacier up close, rather than simply walking on it. Tough but worth it ! Great guide (Maja) & friendly accommodating staff.

We took an afternoon Golden Circle tour with Magga and really enjoyed it. She shared so much info with us about Iceland and the sites we were seeing and on the way back to Reykjavik played a mix of her favorite Icelandic musicians. We even squeezed in a quick extra stop to see Icelandic horses which the two young children who were in our van loved. Recommended if you want to hear some great facts and don’t want a big full day tour. Great for your first full day when you’re gettin over jet lag. We also wanted to see the Kersid Crater which most other tours didn’t offer. We found the time to be more than sufficient

I've booked with Arctic Adventures during my 3 visits to Reykjavík and had a great time with each excursion. They always go above and beyond! Kudos to Lili on my most recent excursion! I also recommend snowmobiling!

This is a very unique experience. The cave was very beautiful and blue. Our tour guide Ari was great and navigated the bumpy back roads like a pro bringing us to and from the site safely. Ari provided lots of great facts and information about the cave and science behind its formation and appearance. All gear was provided and was in good condition. Ari went out of his way to find us a very nice that wasn’t crowded. Inevitably, due to the location and weather, the cave we visited became slightly busy. Overall, it was a great experience for someone wanting to see an ice cave and I would do it again. It’s a bit pricey, but worth it.

We took the blue ice cave with a glacier hike tour and it was fantastic! Our tour guide was so informative and she explained us everything we saw along the way. The tour was one of the most unique experiences we had in Iceland. Hiking this glacier was unforgettable, while walking within walls of ice. It felt like we are in Game of Thrones. Loved every minute.

We went on the golden circle tour 01/03. We were really disappointed as the golden circle with Kerid Crater is a great tour, but our tour guide must have been in a rush to get back home! First she left without us and had to come back to the bus stop (we were on time but there were lots of buses, but the bus wasn't an Artic Adventures bus!). Apparently she called us but to be honest she mustn't have tried very hard and must have left at 8.01 - she then had the cheek to saynwe must have arrived late!). We had so very little time at the different places and we felt very rushed - especially as it seemed like she was going to leave one couple at the first stop who had got lost - we didnt want to risk being late back to the bus! We got back to the city about 3pm, which considering we didn't leave until about 8.45 and we had the hiccup at the first stop that delayed us by about 30 minutes, means we had very little time, which was very disappointing.

This tour was beyond amazing. Iceland is mind-blowing, with waterfalls, black sand beaches, vulcanos, glaciers...and of course aurora! (which we saw 4 times in a row!). But nature is not enough to enjoy a trip. Our guide/driver Bjorn was the person who made this trip truly special. He is extremely competent, drives safely, and it was simply a pleasure to interact with him! What made me very happy was that I could really see attention to details: everything was organized and planned perfectly, hour by hour, detail by detail. This is not obvious, so very much congrats to Artic Adventures for the great organizational job, and of course to Bjorn on being an amazing guide! Let me say that at the beginning I thought the price was a bit high (and we all know, Iceland is very expensive!); but after the trip, accounting for what we got for the price (astonishing nature, zero problems, amazing guide, organization, fun etc), I have to say that is very very reasonable. If I will have a chance in the future, I would go for the same trip again, perhaps in summer. Once again, this was amazing! Only feedback: I went for the 7-day tour and this was organized as a 6-day tour with Artic Adventure + a 1-day tour with another agency. I think having the group split on the second last day broke a bit the nice vibe/inertia of the trip, and also, since the last two days were both "end of tours", it felt like having two half days + 2 return homes. It would be better not to have the split, either 7 days in a row without change of guide/group or just remove the option of 7-day tour and stick to 6-day.

I did the 2 day Snæfellsnes Peninsula and 3 day South Coast tour. My first guide was was an aggressive driver who would pull up to stops but didn't really tell us where we were or what we were seeing. Didn't offer much information in those regards either. But he got us to some good places and did brave the extreme winds that the peninsula was seeing, so I'm grateful for that when he could have cancelled the tour altogether. Our 2nd guide was wonderful, gave us lots of history on Iceland and the places we were seeing. We saw lots of places, but it also just felt like we were just checking off sites on a list. Didn't really get to actually experience the area, just a quick look, some pictures and onto the next stop. We saw some beautiful places, but it would have been nice to actually be able to spend time in that area and take in what you're seeing. The 2nd tour was far more aggravating due to a group of girls who were never on time and made us extremely late to our glacier walk. The glacier walk was very fun and didn't disappoint. What I found lacking is the advertisement was for a glacier walk AND an ice cave tour. We did not go to an ice cave. We went to an ice tunnel that was about 30 feet long, spent all of 2 minutes there and moved on. I was extremely disappointed by this because, having been to Iceland before in September, the ice cave was one of the things I was most looking forward to, and what we saw, was not an ice cave. When you research ice caves in Iceland, this was not it. It was such a huge let down for me. Both tours emphasized Northern Lights but neither one made any real attempt. I got the impression that it was more of a "if you see them you see them, and if you don't, oh well, better luck next time." They didn't offer any wake up calls if the NL appeared so you were on your own to check the weather and set alarms during the night at times of clear skies. Granted there was massive cloud coverage the entire week I was there, so I didn't see them at all. Another let down. But weather is hardly in control of the company. The lodgings were comfortable enough and I have no real complaints about the set up or workings of the company. The lack of emphasis on them was what was noticeable. Overall, as someone who does solo travel, I don't think I would personally ever use a tour group with an organized itinerary like this again, but for those who don't want to put in the time and energy booking everything on your own, this is a good option. It's just not for me.
