Ich habe lange überlegt, ob ich eine Bewertung schreiben soll oder nicht. Am 31.03.2025 haben wir zu Viert am Nachmittag eine Katla Ice Cave Tour gebucht. Pünktlich um 15 Uhr ging es los. Der Transport erfolgte in einer alten, űber 630.000 Kilometer gelaufenen Dieselklapperkiste. Die Anfahrt dauerte etwa eine Stunde. Angekommen ging es nach Anlegen von Helm und Spikes zu Fuß weiter in Richtung Eishöhle. Unterwegs erzählte uns unser Guide Frieki einiges zu den Vulkanausbrüchen und zur Vegetation. Dann standen wir gegen 16:30 Uhr endlich vor der Eishöhle und konnten rein. Es waren viele Menschen unterwegs und Gruppe an Gruppe warteten wir auf Einlass. Dann ging es ganze 8 Meter in die Höhle… eine Frechheit. Wir mussten uns beeilen, da die nächste Gruppe drückte und wir waren nach sage und schreibe 7 Minuten wieder draußen. Von den 7 Minuten haben wir aber auch 5 Minuten mit warten verbracht. Ein Foto, Zack, raus…. Ich habe mir die Fotos und die Uhrstempel angesehen, es war wirklich nicht länger. Traurig. Die Rückwanderung war unspektakulär und die Rückfahrt ging dann auch schneller, da es in den Feierabend ging. Ich habe sowas noch nie erlebt. Eine reine Abzocke der Touristen. Wir haben über 103.000 ISK bezahlt und ich bereue jeden Cent. Spart Euch das Geld bitte und genießt Island mit anderen Touren. Eigentlich null Sterne, aber einen Stern gibt es wenigstens für Frieki, den Guide. Er war sehr nett. Das Foto ist vom innersten Punkt der Eishöhle mit Blick zum Ausgang aufgenommen, damit man die Dimension der Eishöhle sieht. Ich verstehe, dass sie sich täglich ändert und man sich auf das einlassen muss, was ist. Aber dafür soviel Geld zu verlangen, finde ich eine Frechheit…

The glacier lagoon and ice cave tour was fantastic! Lili our tour guide was very helpful and fun. Johannes (Glacier mice guide) was very knowledgeable, helpful and fun! Overall a great experience and highly recommended.

Lulu was an excellent and enthusiastic tour guide. She is very kind and kept us on schedule but was flexible when needed. She did her best to make sure everyone was comfortable and she navigated us through some tricky weather.

I was on a one day layover. I'd never been to Iceland and wanted to see some sights. I chose an afternoon circle tour. It was fabulous. I felt like I got to see way more than I would on my own in an entire day. We were given plenty of time at each location to walk and take pictures.

I booked for multiple tours with arctic adventures but the memorable one was for the northern lights tour with Radek. He is very professional , put all his efforts to make sure we see the best lights. He took great pictures and made tasty hot chocolates which was icing on the cake. He made my trip memorable!
