We had James as our guide and absolutely loved the experience. He’s a truly likeable person and an excellent mountain guide. He made the hike both challenging and thoroughly enjoyable, and even kindly offered to take some fantastic photos for us. We couldn’t recommend him more highly.

What was meant to be a special day gift was completely ruined by poor organization, a lack of empathy, and not helpful customer service. Even minor issues are met with rigid policies, no flexibility, and no genuine attempt to assist. While the communication was polite in tone, there was no real support. No refund (except possibly through insurance), no rescheduling – despite full upfront payment. Not recommended. The moment something went wrong, we were entirely left on our own.

Excellent 7-days in Iceland, including an overview of the whole coastline, additionally Glacier Lagoon, black sand beach, diamond beach, geysers, Gullfoss, Silfra Fissure snorkeling experience in 2°C, with extremely clear water and Pedro, a knowledgeable snorkeling guide/tutor from Portugal. The glacier hike with Ivo was a highlight of the tour and our tour guide, Bjorni Karl, was fantastic, so knowledgeable about the country and with a great sense of humour.

Nous avons choisi la randonnée intermédiaire proposée par Arctic Adventures, environ 6h00 de la prise en charge jusqu'au retour. Après les préparatifs et les consignes de sécurité, nous avons eu 15 minutes de bus et avons marché pendant environ 5:00 dont 4:00 sur glacier. Notre guide Olla a été très prévenante, elle a fait respecter toutes les consignes de sécurité et a été vigilante pour que tous les participants soient satisfaits de la sortie. Elle a donné beaucoup d'explications pertinentes sur le glacier et a pris de nombreuses photos du groupe. Malgré la pluie, nous avons été très satisfaits de cette sortie et remercions Olla de nous avoir guidé pour cette sortie.

This is the best experience of our trip. We traveled via cruise to Iceland and Scotland. This excursion was the best. I booked it separately from the cruise. They did not offer it. Our guide, Sarah, was the best. We had the best time ever. It's been over 3 months back home, and we are still raving about this excursion. Once-in-a-lifetime experience. Our favorite part was swimming in Silfra; everything else was okay after that wonderful experience with Sarah. The two bus tour guides were unhappy. I only graded this a 5 because of Sarah and experience swimming in Silfra. Arctic Adventures was very helpful before the excursion with an email with everything we needed before our swim. Thank you for an unbelievable experience.

Anna G was a great guide. She was funny and informative, and helpful and kind when my friend was worried about how cold she would be. You go into the water in groups of 6 which is really nice so that you have the space to see everything.

Absolutely unforgettable! This was hands-down one of the top highlights of our Iceland trip. We spent over six hours on Falljökull, an outlet of Vatnajökull, and every moment felt like an adventure. After suiting up with crampons, helmets, harnesses, and ice axes, we hiked deep into the glacier past crevasses, meltwater streams, and the most vibrant blue ice we’ve ever seen. We even filled our water bottles straight from a glacial waterfall—crisp, freezing, and cleaner than anything in a bottle. The climbing was intense and amazing. We scaled vertical walls, explored a frozen cave, and crossed over a moulin—a deep, swirling hole that drops into the heart of the glacier. The volcanic ash streaked through the ice made the colors even more surreal. I can only imagine how magical this place must look in winter when everything is covered in snow. Our guide, Michal from the Czech Republic, was phenomenal. Professional, encouraging, and always ready to adapt the experience to our pace and ability. The tour is marked moderate, but with the technical climbs and ice features, it definitely leans toward advanced beginner. That said, it was 100% worth the effort. If you’re in Iceland and looking for an epic challenge in one of the most incredible landscapes on Earth, book the Glacier Extreme tour with Arctic Adventures. It lives up to its name—and then some.

I traveled with Arctic Adventures to Landmannalaugar, so I've had a comfortable off-road bus and guides with our group. Guides were very friendly and ready to answer 1,000 and one questions. I've enjoyed everything from start to finish.
