We had a very nice trip with Sverrir as our guide. He answered all of our questions and made the trip very fun. Beautiful scenery and interesting stops despite lots of wind and rain.

We had the luck to have great weather and no extra participants. It was just us 5 and Indra as a guide (so in fact a private tour). Indra is a great guide, he gave us plenty of information about the surroundings, nature, the riscs, ... He felt how far everyone in the groep would take the tour to the "extreme level" and forced no one to do something they did not want to. Instead he created a "safe space" where every one could test there own limits. We had a great time, some muscles were still stiff a few days later... Sam

Our tour guide Tomas was lots of fun and very knowledgeable! He made the day fly by and the locations were stunning, even through the rain. A lovely day and a great trip!

We booked the speed boat glacier lagoon tour and the glacier hike with Artic Adventures and had a fantastic time. Both of our guides were really good and knowledgeable, patient with everybody in the group. We had a great time and I would definitely book with them again.

6-Day Iceland Tour Review I recently completed a 6-day tour around Iceland and overall had a wonderful experience. The landscapes were absolutely breathtaking—from waterfalls and glaciers to volcanic beaches and geothermal springs. Iceland’s natural beauty truly speaks for itself. Our tour guide, Svavar, was incredibly sweet and a very skilled driver, which made us feel safe and comfortable throughout the journey. However, his tour guiding skills could use some improvement. A few suggestions that would have made the experience smoother: • Daily Itinerary Briefings: It would have been helpful to receive a clear itinerary each morning, outlining the day’s stops, estimated driving times, and what to expect at each location. • Backpack Guidance: Knowing in advance whether we needed rain gear, swimsuits, hiking shoes, or other specific items after arriving at each location would have helped us prepare better. • Meal Planning: Information about where we’d be stopping for lunch, the type of food available, and the price range would have been appreciated. • Accommodation Details: A heads-up on where we’d be staying each night would have helped with planning and expectations. One notable hiccup occurred when a rock got lodged between the bus’s parallel tires. We were surprised to learn that the bus had no crossbar, jack, or spare tire. Thankfully, the hotel staff came to the rescue and manually broke the rock free, but it delayed us by about 30 minutes. Another suggestion: it would be great to stop at a gas station daily to allow guests to buy affordable snacks or meals. This would help those of us trying to manage expenses, especially given the high cost of food in Iceland. Despite these logistical issues, I had a great time. The sights were unforgettable, and the group camaraderie made the experience even more enjoyable. With a few adjustments, this tour could easily go from good to exceptional.

Our family of three all did the Silfra snorkeling trip. While my husband and son enjoyed it, I unfortunately had an issue with my dry suit and it completely flooded during the swim. It can’t be overstated how cold this water is. If your drysuit fails, it will be very difficult to enjoy the swim, and I actually think it can be dangerous. Once water enters the drysuit (which happened immediately in my case) there also isn’t really anyway to remedy it. I was just told to try not to move my arms a lot. I got so cold that I needed to get out early (although still had to stay in longer than I wanted). While my guide said that I should contact customer service to ask for a refund, Arctic Adventures has said that they will not issue a refund (or even a partial refund). I cannot recommend this tour to anyone, knowing this is a possibility. If you are very sensitive to cold, or have any health problems, I would not do this tour (or maybe look for a different company).

A great South Coast tour - waterfalls and glacier hike. Despite the rain, we saw everything and were thoroughly entertained by Tomas our guide. Would highly recommend.
