Whale Watching & Limón Waterfall Day Trip

What a fun day! And so full of beauty. The boat across the bay was fun. A great reminder if how much I love the water. I enjoyed the bus ride as well. It was an opportunity to see the towns and the people more than what the resorts show us. The horses to Limon were great. They were all so gentle and trained. A guide stayed with each of us at all times. The stairs to the bottom of the falls are no joke! 350 steps down and i think double that back up! My guide held my hand and helped me all the way. The pina colada on bacardi beach was extra sweet because of the surroundings. The water was crystal clean surrounded by white sand. Things to consider. It's a LONG day. It was listed as 10 hours but adding the travel time from our resort we were gone 13.5 hours. Lots of tip requests. 3 buses each way, each with a basket. Boat driver asking for tips. The horse guides tell you they are volunteers and only get paid if we tip them. Food servers... You see how many opportunities are presented to open your wallet. We were given 1/2 sandwich mid morning with a juice. We got lunch with a rum and coke or water. On the bus we had to ask for water. Most excursions I've been on are generous with water, soda and often alcohol. None of these things should keep you from the great opportunity. It's just something to know before you go.

Amazing! Tour with horse riding to get to the waterfall. Waterfall was a wonderful sight! Afterwards we had an amazing Dominican lunch! In the afternoon we went to the Bacardi island where we had the opportunity to swim in clear water!!! Enrique, the bus driver and Nacho the tour guide were amazing! 👏

An experience I would repeat. Next rainless. Very lively guide and good explanations. Driver Henrique is very nice and drives very carefully.

Recommended experience, we left at 6:20 AM from Punta Cana to reach the port heading to Samana. We did the one-day excursion that included El Limon Waterfall, Samana, and Cayo Levantado. El Limon Waterfall: we did the horseback ride to get to the waterfall accompanied by the local guys, volunteers who live in the area (a tip is recommended, they don't expect much, but trust me, they deserve it considering where they are and what they will do for you the whole time you are with them) Cayo Levantado: fantastic Caribbean beach, arrived by sea you will find a paradisiacal beach, the boat pilot, for all the trips, was super kind and friendly. Day managed in an excellent way by the guide Miguel, to whom I give special appreciation and whom I recommend to anyone booking with this agency to ask for. A Dominican gentleman in his 50s, nice, professional, and super helpful (it was a surprise to find such willingness on his part for a personal request, calling and stopping during the trip, given the need), what can I say, here you will find friendly people, who call you family, and when you ask yourself why, in the moments when you would need it, you will understand the meaning even when said by strangers.

It was a wonderful experience, all transportation on time, the food excellent, and our guide Nacho and the driver Enrique were excellent.
