Venice Islands Food & Boat Private Tour
About this activity
Highlights
- Sail through the lesser-known islands of the Venetian archipelago where tourism hasn’t yet discovered what locals have treasured for centuries
- Taste vegetables grown in lagoon soil and prosecco made by families who’ve been perfecting their craft for generations
- Glide past the haunting beauty of San Michele Cemetery, where Venice’s most illustrious rest on their own private island
- Enjoy artisanal pizza at Ape Verde Pistacchio—because even premium experiences need moments of perfect simplicity
- End with a signature primi piatti, tiramisu, and of course, wine. We never forget the wine
Full description
Over four carefully curated hours, you’ll journey through islands that each tell a different chapter of Venice’s story. From witnessing firsthand the agricultural marvel of Sant’Erasmo (yes, Venice grows its own vegetables) to getting a glimpse of the island where Venice’s most famous are laid to rest, you’ll witness traditions that have survived centuries of change.
This isn’t about collecting Instagram moments, though you’ll certainly have them. It’s about understanding Venice as a living, breathing archipelago where real people create extraordinary things, away from the crowds.

Reviews
So glad I booked this. The guide was great, the stops felt genuinely local, and the food was delicious from start to finish. Do this on your first day and come hungry!
One of the best Venice city food tour experiences we have ever done. The guide took us to authentic local spots, and every dish was fresh and flavorful. We especially enjoyed the cicchetti, the spritz pairings, and the delicious prosecco served with the polenta and polpetta di carne.
The best way to get to know a culture is to taste and learn about its food. My nephew and I had a great time on this tour, and I felt the expense was worth the experience. There was plenty of yummy food and drink, too.
