Half-day Shirakawa-go Tour with Kaita
Had a lovely experience doing the half-day tour to Shirakawa-go from Kanazawa. Our guide, Kaita, was knowledgeable, friendly and enthusiastic about introducing us to this unique part of Japan and Japanese culture. The tour itself was well-paced. Even though we arrived before most of the shops and cafes were open, it was nice being there before the area got too congested and we had enough time to do a little bit of everything. Kaita gave great recommendations for where to go and what to eat, and even lended us a map that made navigation easy. Would recommend this tour with Kaita to anyone visiting Kanazawa!
Keita was the best!
We took a full day trip Shirakawa-go and Kanazawa. Our overall experience was incredible! Keita was our tour guide and he did an amazing job. Super engaging, funny and knowledgeable.
Wonderful
Keito was knowledgeable and personable, just what you need for a great tour!
Traditional Japanese Village w/ Yasushi & Keita!
Yasushi and Keita were absolutely awesome! So was the driver, Maekawa! They were engaging, kind, and we had a lot of fun in the beautiful village. We were there for a few hours. Keita took time talking with us as we walked through the town and was very friendly. Yasushi spent time on the bus afterwards helping us learn a bit more about our Japanese roots. Both were funny and good natured former teachers! We highly recommend Hanamizuki Shirakawa 花水木白川 and their curry udon. We were running late and the ladies there were super nice and got us to-go bowls even though they had already served us. We were super embarrassed but they were incredibly kind and we got back to the bus on time to enjoy some good pork curry udon.
Fantastic tour of Shirakawa-go
Shirakawa-go is a magnificent place, and the guided tour makes it even more memorable!! Yasushi is a wonderful guide, his explanations really made the hour-long bus ride to get to the village feel like only a moment and really transmitted his genuine love for the place. Since we came slightly early in the morning, the town was mostly free of crowds. Overall, this was an amazing experience and I’d recommend it to anyone planning to visit Shirakawa-go.
