Short But Worth The Trip to Salzburg.

The city of Salzburg is so beautiful and the tour gives a quick overview of the most important sites based on the time you are there. Definitely worth the quick trip if you’re in a tight schedule.

Salzburg incredible with our guide

Our very hot day started well with our guide Paola. She was incredible the entire day with tips for shopping and eating, as well as her Mozart knowledge and Sound of Music insights during our tour day. She looked after all 14 of us on the tour, made sure we got into shade often, found cool fountains for us to refill with water during a very hot day, and was overall a refreshing, energetic light of a guide for the day. She even went out of her way to make sure we could enjoy the incredibly unique Sacher cake, and went the extra mile to help us locate a specific pastrie after the tour on Munich. A true gem of a tour guide. Highly recommend the tour itself and Paola for any tour!!!

A Few of My Favourite Things… Including Susan!

Another excellent experience with Radius Tours. Susan was such a fantastic guide: warm, knowledgeable, approachable and clearly passionate about what she does. She made everyone feel welcome and brought the tour to life with her enthusiasm, stories and knowledge of Salzburg and The Sound of Music. The whole experience felt relaxed, personal and really enjoyable, and Susan was always happy to answer questions and help along the way. Thank you, Susan, for making an already special day even more memorable. I came away with some wonderful memories and couldn’t recommend you and Radius Tours highly enough.

Salzburg is very nice!

Salzburg is a beautiful city and I would like to return someday to have more time there. Unfortunately, the guide for the Salzburg tour was not the best. She did not answer questions with kindness and patience. She was not clear with instructions about where and when to meet and then, she would reprimand people who were confused. While she was good at historical facts, she was less than professional when it came to interacting with the group. At the tours conclusion, she exited the train one stop early, leaving those of us returning to the end point to fend for ourselves. I have worked in the hospitality industry for many years, so I know how difficult it is to deal with tourists and groups, so I usually give guides a lot of leeway and do not complain, but she did not provide a good experience for us. That being said, we did six tours with Radius Tours and ALL our other guides were incredible, so I would still recommend booking Radius Tours!

Salzburg Tour

Short and brisk walking tour for 90 minutes and then on our own for 3 hrs. Enjoyed seeing The Sound of Music landmarks and had a nice lunch at Stiegl Keller restaurant. Don’t confuse the long line next to it which was for the funicular. So many people there at this time of year!
