Salkantay Trek 5D 5N with Glass Cabins, Hobbit House-Hot Jacuzzi

Beautiful 5 day hike to Machu Picchu. Our guides - Edward and Yefri - our chefs and porters were really attentive and the food was excellent throughout. A great mix of vegetables too. Edward and Yefri were great company, and genuinely interested in their jobs. They had a passion for Inka culture. The tour of Machu Picchu was a highlight. Thanks for a fantastic trip

My mom and I had an incredible experience with Alpaca expeditions, before I get into the specifics - THANK YOU! From the operators that helped us book our tour, the employees that answered all of our questions with quick and efficient communication, and of course our amazing guides Yefri and Edward. I would recommend alpaca for any tour you’re looking for in Cusco and the surrounding area. (We did sacred valley and 7 lakes with alpaca too, absolutely amazing across the board). Yefri and Edward were our guides for the salkentay trek, they took excellent care of us, not only were they incredibly kind, patient, and FUNNY, they are so well educated in the pre Incan / Incan culture and the surrounding environment (oftentimes pointing out plants, flowers, wildlife and archeological sites along the way). They kept us laughing (even on the hard treks!) and made the experience even better than we could have ever imagined. The company is very organized - with pick up and drop off, taking care of our luggage while on the trek, very detailed schedule. All of it was perfect! The chefs and cooks were AMAZING, the food was absolutely delicious, they are accommodating for any dietary preferences / allergies. The porters and horsemen were efficient, STRONG, overall incredibly impressive. Very much appreciated the companies respect for Pachu Mama. Thank you again, Yefri and Edward, for teaching us about your culture and sharing this beautiful part of the world with us, it was so special. Professional and well organized. Guide, Porter and Chef worked hard to provide a memorable experience especially with food and water. The menu each day was a 3 to 4 course well curated and balanced. Clean and safe accommodation . Highly recommend this company. One area of caution, the distance to hike each day was off (by a lot) so ask questions and plan accordingly. Don’t take the pre acclimation lightly and it is so important to enjoy the much higher altitude of Humantay and Salkantay. Enjoy!

I was sure what to expect from this tour going into it, but I can say it completely surpassed my expectations. The organization was greatly appreciated, as all we had to do was show up and the rest was taken care of up until we were dropped back off after the trek. Edward and Jefri were amazing guides that kept us motivated, gave us great insight to the history and sights we were seeing, and gave us good laughs. The vegetarian food was also amazing and I am so glad Alpaca fed so well. We also did the rainbow mountain tour with Marcio and I can say the exact same applies to that trip. Thank you Alpaca for giving us such an amazing trip to Peru, we hope to be back!
