Unforgettable Day
Alessio was an amazing guide - he took us up & down the countryside, which was a very nice break from the busy streets of Rome, and had a bit of history to include with each place we passed. We even went off route for a bit to explore old tombs. The second half of our tour rained pretty significantly, and we all laughed throughout the experience as we cruised through it. We also made a handful of stops at Alessio’s favorite local shops for snacks and a recharge, which have now become our favorite places as well. Highly recommend!!!
Incredible way of seeing Historic Orvieto and Civita and biking through rustic Umbria
Thank you Alessio for an incredible and high energy day biking seeing amazing cities of Orvieto and Civita. Cities themselves are so unique and spectacular. The travel there made them so mix more so!! We biked over 50km round trip with electric bikes and our whole family had a blast. It is not a trip for those out of shape but my wife and I are not cyclists and enjoyed it tremendously even though our teens were doing circles around us. It was definitely a highlight of our trip to Italy. I would recommend gloves and windbreaker if doing it in the winter as there was frost on the ground in some spots. Equipment was top notch and my son who has done mountain biking concurs that bikes are very nice. Save the hassle of taking the train - Alessio drove us from Rome and back and was kind to drops us off near a great restaurant he recommended for a well earned dinner. Don’t plan a big walking tour day after - you will feel your legs for a few days in a good way.
A day trip to the country side and beautiful history.
We had a wonderful ride and then train out of Rome with Emanuelle - he is a great bike guide and a wonderfully joyful and kind person! The communications and connection was easy and on time - and we were on the train in a flash. Emanuelle coordinated the bikes and managed them through stations and on/off the trains - it was easy and a fun adventure! Orvieto and Civita di Bagnoregio were fun and are both beautiful. I wish we had had a little more time in Orvieto, and we missed seeing the interior of the church as it was Sunday and the mass was beginning. We had one hour in Civita di Bagnoregio, and honestly that was enough to wall all the passage ways - any longer and we’d have just found food or drink. The ride home was even easier as it was more down hill! The bikes were good and made the biking work easy. I would highly recommend for anyone wanting a ride in the country side!
