Itinerary
The temple is situated in the middle of the small island on the artificial lake in Villa Borghese. At that time, in fact, reproductions of ancient temples and statues were realized as a decorative landscape feature. Enjoy to the utmost this romantic corner in Villa Borghese by renting a rowboat!
The inventor Giovan Battista Embriaco built this hydrochronometer (also known as a water clock) in 1867 and displayed it at the 1867 Universal Exposition in Paris. In 1873, the hydrochronometer was placed in the Villa Borghese gardens in a fountain designed by the architect Gioacchino Ersoch. The water clock works 24/7.
If you are looking for points of interest in Rome, you shouldn’t miss the Pincio Terrace. Pincian Hill is not one of the Seven Hills of Rome, but it is a popular panoramic viewpoint among Romans. From here, you can see the historic center and the Vatican from above.
Cycle inside Villa Ada. Learn about the flora and fauna of this beautiful park.
Admire the beauties of Quartiere Coppedé

Wonderful Tour with an Exceptional Guide
We completely enjoyed the bike tour with Giorgio. He was patient, kind, friendly, knowledgeable and spoke perfect English (he also does tours in Italian, French and Spanish). We ended up getting a private tour as there were no other guests (I thought the minimum for the group tour was 4, so we really lucked out to have Giorgio and a private tour). We had a few bumps in the trip, which Giorgio handled with grace. First, there was an international meeting being held in a building on the route, and the normal tour route needed to be adjusted. Second, one of our bikes got a flat tire. Giorgio gave his bike to my husband and rode the bike with the flat tire. Third, while my husband was riding Giorgio's bike, Giorgio's back pack fell off the bike, and it wasn'tniticed until we stopped for him to share some information with us. Giorgio had to retrace our route to retrieve it. Thank you for a wonderful day!
