Full description

We bet a visit to Prague Castle is high on your must-see in Prague list, and for good reason! But don’t be fooled by the name: this isn’t your typical fairytale fortress. Instead, the Prague Castle complex is the largest in the world, a sprawling site filled with historic palaces, Gothic and Baroque churches, quiet courtyards, breathtaking panorama points, and beautifully kept gardens. On our Prague Castle tour, you’ll step beyond the surface and discover the fascinating history, legends, and hidden corners that make this landmark one of the top Prague highlights.

From St. Vitus Cathedral to an Enigmatic Alchemy SanctuaryDuring this captivating journey, we've arranged your Castle interior tickets in advance, ensuring a swift start to our exploration (well, after a brief security check – though fear not, as we'll guide you through a Castle entrance known solely to locals, bypassing lengthy queues).
Our voyage commences at the resplendent St. Vitus Cathedral, a true masterpiece and the most exquisite church in our land. Our path then leads us to the Old Royal Palace, where amongst other tales, you'll be regaled with accounts of peculiar occurrences that have echoed through our history so persistently that they've garnered an official term. Moreover, you'll be treated to an exclusive journey into an underground alchemy laboratory, shrouded in secrecy for centuries.

Uncover the Mysteries of a Medieval Torture DungeonIn bygone eras, the Czech people possessed a fierce spirit and resorted to remarkably intense measures when dealing with their adversaries. Were you aware that a torture chamber existed within the Castle complex? Let's delve into the instruments employed within its confines.

Through the Picturesque Path of the Golden Lane to Breathtaking PanoramasSubsequently, prepare to be awestruck by the 900s Basilica of St. George, the ancestral resting place of our revered kings. Naturally, the enchanting thoroughfare, Golden Lane, cannot be overlooked! Concluding our odyssey, we'll offer you our preferred panoramic vista of Prague, nestled within another charming Castle garden.

Exclusive Expedition through Prague Castle – Tailored Just for YouSeeking to immerse yourself in the Castle's allure within the company of family or close friends? Perhaps you hold a specific curiosity about local culture? Opt for a private excursion, reaping the benefits of an exclusive guide at your disposal. Set the tour's commencement as per your convenience; our guide will collect you directly from your lodging.
As our expedition concludes, the choice is yours to make! Would you prefer to conclude near the nearest metro or tram station? Or perhaps atop the Castle's hill for further independent exploration? Jakub was an excellent host, and it was great to try all the authentic dishes plus a couple of beers. His coverage of certain Prague history and real life family experiences over the years was extremely interesting. My family of my wife, daughter & son went along at a total cost of £520 which based on the evening I thought was extremely expensive for what was received, which consisted drink wise of a glass of water and 2 beers, plus food of a Starter sandwich, 2 plates of mains, and an ice cream over the 3 hrs. Jakub's personality made everyone relaxed and he was entertaining with a good personality. There was a total of 6 people on the tour and maybe that was the reason of the shortcomings, but not worth the money in our view. This does not detract from Jakub who was excellent and maybe Prague City Tours need to review the pricing as it was not worth the money in our view, with other tours of a similar type a lot less cost for a very similar offering.
