Itinerary
Swap the hustle and bustle of London for a gorgeous escape to the English countryside. Take a step back in time at the thrilling Warwick Castle, visit the charming hometown of one of Britain’s most iconic playwrights and wander through the lovely streets of Oxford! Your coach will be departing from Victoria, central London at 8:30am sharp – make sure you are there at least 30 minutes before to check in and prepare for your Great British adventure!
The first stop of the day will be Warwick Castle, a striking place brimming with history and activities. Originally built by William the Conqueror in 1068, this castle is now a highly interactive venue that’s great for all ages. Wander through the beautiful Great Hall and State Rooms, spot peacocks in the landscaped gardens and explore the castle’s towers and ramparts. Meet and greet experience as they arrive at Warwick Castle by a special medieval host as well as an introduction to the spectacular castle. You can enjoy an exclusive private hidden gems tour at Warwick Castle. Led by an expert guide, see rooms that are not generally accessible to the public as you gain deeper insight into the Castle's history.
Pass by: Your coach will be driving through the beautiful Cotswolds – be prepared for picture-ready views of this breath-taking part of the English countryside! Designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the Cotswolds comprises sleepy villages reminiscent of another era, bustling market towns and irresistible scenery.
From an electrifying castle to an idyllic English town – the next part of your adventure will be the scenic Stratford-upon-Avon, known for being the birthplace and gravesite of playwright legend William Shakespeare. You will get to visit the very home where he was born and hear about his formative years in Stratford-upon-Avon.
Featuring cobbled streets, impressive architecture and an infectiously vibrant atmosphere, Oxford is an absolute must-see. As you wander through this University City and take in all the pretty views, your guide will tell you about Oxford’s fascinating history. You’ll also hear about the many renowned individuals that have graced the streets of Oxford while studying at the university – it’s an undoubtedly impressive list of alumni!
Your walking tour includes entry to the stunning 13th century University Church of St Mary the Virgin. Adopted by the University of Oxford as one of its first buildings, this gem is considered to be the spiritual heart of Oxford. Soak in spectacular sights of its unique baroque design and learn about its key role within the university and Oxford community.

Traveler reviews
Highly recommended: Eileen and Morino
Eileen was very entertaining and knowledgeable. We had the perfect tour, just right. Morino was our driver and they were a great team. We plan to revisit Oxford for an extended stay in the future! Highly recommended.
An Experience You Shouldn’t Miss
Oliver and Vi were very welcoming to all of us. Great information at every stop and everything was done in a very timely manner. Would recommend taking this tour to see Oxford and Warwick Castle.
Enjoyed the day out from London
Very easy to book and good follow up prior to departure. Pick up point was not too crowded and easy enough to find unlike other operators. Bus very comfortable after initial confusion re seating/lunch bags for premium ticket holders versus non premium. Tour guide's in depth history information was a little too intense for us. Felt like being in a classroom. Would have preferred a more light hearted and fun approach. Enjoyed Warwick and Stratford but would have loved more free time in Oxford. Also would love if pick up and drop off locations could be the same.
Mixed experience but positive overall
Torn on how to review. Kelvin was dynamic, engaging, enjoyable, and entertaining. However, we did catch a few errors. For example, he talked about J.R. Tolkien (should be J.R.R. Tolkien) and his friendship with Lewis Carroll (it was C.S. Lewis). Also said Tale of Two Cities was by Shakespeare (it was Charles Dickens). As for the stops, we loved Warwick Castle and could have spent all day there but weren't as enamored with stops at Stratford and Oxford.
Top-tier experience to Oxford, Stratford, and Warwick!
This Golden Tours day trip was a highlight of our london stay. Kavin was an exceptional guide—full of humor, great energy, and fascinating facts that kept us all thoroughly entertained and interactive throughout the day. Mario was a fantastic driver who made the journey comfortable and seamless. The pace of the trip was excellent - especially with senior citizens, striking the perfect balance between travel and exploring time. Thank you both for a wonderful day out!
