Amazing afternoon discovering the colonial past of Old Goa

Great dive into Old Goa’s history, mainly colonial times, the arte sacro and architectural legacy of the occupation. Yashasvi is very professional and knowledgeable, and an amazing woman! Do not miss tge opportunity to spend time with her walking around this incredible place!

Best Experiential Travel Company with Amazing People

I did a few trails with Make It Happen, an experiential travel company I discovered through IndiGo, and honestly, it became one of the highlights of my trip. I only wish I had extended my stay in both Goa and Bangalore to sign up for more of their experiences. I joined the Old Goa Heritage Walk with Yashasvi Tamse, the Fontainhas Heritage Walk with Calvin Gomes, the Richard’s Town Heritage Walk, and the Honestly Bengaluru Food Trail with Varsha Suresh Kumar. What stood out most was the quality of the narration and their ability to bring each destination to life so effortlessly. Every guide was incredibly knowledgeable, passionate about their city, and had a natural way of weaving together history, culture, architecture, food, and local life through engaging stories and personal anecdotes. Nothing felt rehearsed or transactional, it felt like exploring a place through the eyes of someone who genuinely loves and understands it. From wandering through the colourful Portuguese lanes of Fontainhas and uncovering the layered history of Old Goa, to exploring the charming colonial pockets of Richard’s Town and eating my way through Bangalore's legendary food spots, every single experience was exceptional in its own way. Each trail offered a deeper appreciation of the destination beyond the usual tourist lens, filled with hidden stories and architectural details, local flavours, music and cultural nuances. Goa in particular felt especially nostalgic for me, rekindling memories of my uni days in Lisbon. If you enjoy meaningful travel experiences that go beyond surface-level sightseeing, I cannot recommend Make It Happen enough. Easily one of the best experiential travel companies I’ve come across, and I'm already looking forward to joining many more of their experiences in the future.

Definitely do it!

Very interesting tour through old Goa with a lot of information about the buildings and especially the history of Goa and the Portuguese. Vimala conveyed the information vividly and accurately. I would not have taken away these backgrounds through mere sightseeing. Therefore: Again and again!
