Itinerary
Pass by: Explore Saligao, one of the more prosperous villages of Goa, owing to the business acumen of its early settlers. The architectural aesthetics of Saligao today reflect the creative style of some of the renowned artists of Goa who have chosen to live a splendid village lifestyle.
Pass by: Visit Goa’s only Gothic style church. Breeze through the wards of Saligao village flanked by fields and elaborate Indo-Portuguese homes. Explore contemporary Goan art and architecture. High Tea at a heritage home.
We will be exploring the beautiful village wards of Saligao which form the residential area of the village that consist of splendid Indo-Portuguese homes, a chapel, a cemetery and paddy fields overlooking a hill.
We will visiting a beautiful Indo-Portuguese home for High-Tea hosted by the owners of the house and a show around of the beautiful property
Pass by: Saligao Institute highlighting the prosperity of the village is prominent landmark. Saligao Institute is located in the residential words flanked by Indo-Portuguese mansions. The narrow walking lanes are colourful, splendid and a sight to behold.

Walk down the history lane
Everything was great. Walk down the history lane of Saligaon and Museum of Goa. Swynne was very sweet throughout the the tour and she explained everything well.
An offbeat village tour
This was our second experience with Make It Happen and we absolutely loved it. Namrata from their team guided us really well through the history, culture and stories of Saligao. This was a nice laid-back tour which also had a refreshing high-tea session where we were given local drinks and snacks. As we booked during off-season time, the tour wasn’t crowded too. Best for travellers who want to go for an offbeat experience and understand local culture.

We went for Saligao walking tour with Dr. Namrata. It was really fun and informative. We got to learn about the history of the place, how it was formed and what are the thoughts behind the architecture, and about the community that was formed there.
