Disastrous day trip to the waterfalls

My wife and I went on the Krka Waterfall, boat ride and to Skradin. With Graylines Tours. We were told it was about a 1 hour journey on the coach. In fact we left at 10.00 am and actually got off the bus at the Warefalls at 12.30 pm, ie 2 1/2 hours. My seat on the coach was jammed in the reclined position and the coach was full so I couldn't change seats. I therefore spent the enire journey propped up by cardigans to achieve some degree of comfort. The public address microphone wasn't working so our tour guide, Frank (who was excellent by the way) stood in the middle of the bus and tried his best to give what I'm sure was s very interesting talk on the history of Croatia but we could barely hear him from our seats at the rear. Once at the Waterfalls (which were really nice) we embarked on what felt like a route march around the park to make up for lost time. It was a relief to stop for lunch and a rest for an hour. After lunch we made our way to get the boat. When booking we assumed that the boat would be exclusively for the people on the excursion but it turned our that it was the Park Authority's boat for the general public so there were a few hundred people queueing. Only half our party managed to get on the first boat and the rest of us had to wait another half an hour for the next one. All in all we spent over an hour standing on a wooden jetty waiting to get on a boat. The boat ride itself was very pleasant but when we arrived at Skradin we were once again running late so there wasn't time to look around and stop for a drink. Instead we had another route march to the bus park to get the coach back to Split. Needless to say this was the first and last time we'll book an excursion with Grayline Tours. I'd jyst reiterate that our experience was no refection on Frank, our Tour Guide, as he was excellent and he was very apologetic for the experience.
