Itinerary
Pick up in Naples. We pick up customers at various points in the city center. The confirmation of the pickup time and location will be sent by email. The driver and the tour leader will hold a banner with the tour name and a list of participants. We recommend arriving 10 minutes before the meeting time. On board your bus, enjoy a stress-free journey. Our vehicles are equipped with air conditioning and free bottles of water available upon request. On board, our staff will provide a brief introduction to the city of Naples and the surrounding landscape during the journey, before you meet your guide in Herculaneum.

Great Follow-through
I have always wanted to experience Herculaneum and came to Napoli specifically for this and Pompeii which I have visited ten years ago. I was so glad I took a tour from Naples rather than navigate the railroad. From pick up to drop off and return, Nadia facilitated the entire trip and beyond. At one point I lost my group with Nina, taking photos. I called Nadia who picked up What’s App and reached out to Nina who kindly returned to bring me back to the group. Nina was a very good tour guide who gave a good overview of the site. I mentioned my desire for a guide to Pompeii. Nina spoke to Nadia who enquired and then continued to What’s App me after I had been dropped off, as I was considering my options. She advised me on various options all while looking forward to facilitating the next group tour. Nadia’s clear instructions of where we would meet and when were greatly appreciated. I wish more tour guides would set up clear expectations, as we come and go from places. Kudos to our wonderful driver, Nina for her tour, and most especially Nadia for going above and beyond!

We had an amazing experience and was very informative. We appreciated the significant differences from a similar tour of Pompeii.
Getting there wasn’t so great
The visit and tour guide at Herculaneum were fantastic. Having done Pompeii last summer, Herculaneum is a much greater experience. Less people, more intact ruins, and frescos. Why I chose only four stars is because of Viator itself. You offer four pick up points, we picked one of the hotels only to receive a email “reconfirming” pick up at the port as the hotel was “not accessible due to construction.”Someone else mentioned this in a prior review. UPDATE YOUR WEBSITE. We booked a drop off and pickup at the hotel and it cost us additional money to uber to the port. We arrived at the port 45 minutes before the 1pm pick up. We received a text at 1pm stating the bus was in traffic and going to be 10-15 minutes late. Yes, traffic is bad…that wasn’t the problem. At 1:30, a harried young lady arrived, called out the name of another waiting couple, and quickly turned around to leave. I had to rush after her and ask if she was picking up my party at which point she looked at her list and said, “oh ya.” Had I not asked we would still be sitting there. (She was not the actual tour guide). The tour itself was a little rushed but the guide was great. Next time, I will arrange for a car, pay the admission fee, and wonder at my own pace. Lots of things to see at a much more pleasantly pace.
