Thankyou James!!

We had a fab time on the 9pm tour with James, he was fun, approachable, passionate, gave us all a giggle and was super transparent (no ghostly pun intended) about everything which is quite refreshing!! It was informative and super atmospheric, the only reason I’ve put 4 overall was because we wish it could be longer, with more vaults to explore!! It was a small group with only 19 of us which felt perfect, it felt a little expensive at 52£ for two students on a budget but I personally think it’s a trip essential so we were happy to pay 😌

What I Saw Confirmed My Beliefs.

I attended the 10pm horror tour on the 27/6/26 led by Darren and was not disappointed. As something of a scientific believer, I'll never go full throttle "Yes! That was 100% a ghost, they're real, the dead walk among us!" I'll always try and rationalise whatever it was I saw/heard/felt before delving into the realm of the unexplainable. This is the first of the two things I saw while on that tour that I cannot explain. While on the tour, (no spoilers don't worry) the group was taken into a vault to see how dark it truly is down there, the only light coming from the green exit lamp glowing in the main passageway. I'm looking over the shoulder of another group member and I freeze, I think we've left someone out there, they move out of view down towards the exit, I barely catch a glimpse of the back of someone's shoulders and the white top they have on. The (live) man in front of the archway moves in the same direction and I tell myself it was him that I saw. But he was backlit and therefore just a black silhouette, what I saw was the light in the passageway reflecting off of a white shirt/dress. The second thing that I couldn't explain to myself after days of thinking about it; the group was arranged in a circle to listen to another account that came from a colleague of our tour guide, very low torch light was provided for safety (covered by the tour guides palm and facing the ground) I saw something flicker behind one of the heads of another tour group member and I looked up and I watched a tiny speck of light pop out of one person's head and float either into or behind another's. And I looked. I looked for earrings, glasses. Any sort of jewellery or adornment that might provide that reflection even in the very low torch light we were provided, but it was too bright to be merely a reflection. It was like a pin prick of its own light source. On my way home the next day I told my mum what I had seen and she said this isn't the first time. Apparently I have in her words, "been able to see these types of things since I was a little girl." My mother's account as she told it to me: When we moved into the house we live in now, you went in first and you came back out and you said "Dad why are the dogs in the kitchen? That big man told me to leave." so he went in to look, came back outside and said "There are no dogs in the house, what do you mean?" and apparently I replied: "The working dogs, they're collies." We had just moved on to some farmland at the time, so historically, generationally in that house there would have been working dogs. And out of all the Darren's I know of, he's the nicest one so take from that what you will.

Fantastic tour with a fantastic guide!

Wonderful tour! Our guide, Stewart, was very knowledgeable and funny. We got a great history lesson on the way to the vaults. Had some laughs and some screams down in the vaults. Would definitely tour again!
